Per Scout.com, TROY has an underwhelming 5 recruits committed. I think AppSt & stAte are 'again' lead'n the way. Maybe I'm being a bit unrealistic, but I was hoping for more than that.

We are currently sitting in 4th in SBC with 28. The rankings jump around a lot this time of year...I expect us to sign a top 3 class again at the end.

I hope someone on our list is a KO/Punt/field goal kicker. Probably not but I think our coaches overlook the importance of that aspect of the game.

Scout is out of date? I look at all the schools in bb & fb. They seem to be up-to-date for the most part. But even if it wasn't, 5 commits vs 17/28? That's one helluva diff!! ESPN has TROY at 5-6 recruits as well.

If you are showing 28, that must be last years class. 247 is showing 18 for 2017.

We did just lose a commit, last week, though. We're done, or about done, so will not move the needle much from where we currently sit.

247 is the most accurate for Troy as one of our own run it. Scout doesn't have all of the recruiting information coming out of Troy.

App is looking like this so far in the Conference:
2nd in Scout
3rd in 247Sports
5th in Rivals

Very good class so far but still needing to pick up some LBs and maybe another Lineman or two.
App's success comes from recruiting strictly straight out of high school and staying away from JUCO, except for a year or two during the transition years. While other schools benefit from higher recruiting rankings from getting JuCo kids, App always benefits from being able to build on players for 4-5 years. This could be one of App's better classes.

GS had two de-commits this week, one of whom is the brother of a current player. Just like on the field, the trend is down for them.

GS's is a disaster so far...par for the course this season. We had two decommitts this last week and one kid had a brother on the team.....

We are looking at going from 72nd last year and the highest rated Sun Belt class ever to 100+ in FCS team territory.

This...I'm not for GS getting blown out by Troy on national tv buuut....if it would guarantee a coaching change then maybe I can be persuaded into that mindset. We are definitely plunging backwards in all areas of football...except special teams...
