RE: How's your recruiting com'n along??
None of our guys have been re-evaluated since last year, and with the OC hanging in the balance I wouldn't expect to see much movement (on the offensive side) until an announcement is made. We've had some guys with career ending injuries on the OL and I can see us filling in those spots in this class.

Hicks is actually a CB and we are waiting on one more. App stocked up on safety types a year ago and with the addition of Huff we're set at that spot.

Very good day for App recruiting. This past week off has been beneficial.
Daetrich Harrington- 3* for 247, 2* for scout. Ranked as 102RB for 247, not ranked for scout.
D'Andre Hicks- 3* for both 247 and Scout. Ranked as 125CB for scout, 196WR for 247. Great add to an already impressive secondary coming in for the Legion of Boone.

These two pushes App's team ranking to 82nd national, 2nd in the Sunbelt just behind TxSt according to 247. Scout hasn't adjusted the team rankings yet. Feel like the recruiting crown in the conference will come down between App,TxSt, and Troy. Should get fun after the bowl season.

Going to have to hold on to Daetrich. Looks like he has a lot of offers, could be a solid way to finally push App's running backs up over 6 feet and 200 lbs. Need a Chunn like runner if they are going to continue with this option look.

News today out of the TXST universe more than confirms we will have an unknown at QB next season.

White - who was in most of the stAte game - is graduating and will transfer

Printz - who was intermittent in that game, has signed a pro contract to play in Italy.

Keff Ciardello ‏@Keff_C 2m2 minutes ago

Scratch that on White. Now hearing He is planning on transferring after he graduates this month. Not sure where but looks like he's gone too

According to Troy's twitter account, 4 * DE Rasool Clemons from EMCC has officially committed. So that's good news for us with Dillard and Gnonkonde being seniors I believe.

Still sucks but some hope left, losing the one OL hurt but glad its only him and we did not have a ton of WR's committed with the new OC. I just cant wrap my head around going from P5 territory in the low 70's to near FCS territory in one year.

Click over to Eagle Fans to clear your thinking. The single largest gathering of self proclaimed geniasses in America. You can't find a more productive place to dismantle your football program. They claim to be fans but can't seem to stop lobbing bombs and pointing to anything to show there complaining is better than the other. It's like a diseased pack of hyenas in a frenzy eating rat poison over there.

He signed today. He originally signed with Ole Miss. He is 6'6" 240 according to 247Sports. He will be a force on the line and is the only DE in the SBC with that kind of length. He was originally a 90 (4-Star) on 247. He is currently a 4-Star on rivals with some impressive offers including Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Iowa State, Toledo, and Southern Miss.

We also signed EMCC's leading receiver. That should help an improving receiving corp.

Has anyone figured out why the Patron saint of lost causes, Hugh Freeze, asked this guy to decommit yet?

6'4" and he plays in the defensive backfield. Clearly someone on the coaching staff recognized how woefully undersized we are back there.

I do wonder how many spots we have left for High School guys now after all the Blue Shirts and transfers?

RE: How's your recruiting com'n along??
Georgia Southern recruiting class isn't the best in SBC like the past few years, but it's very strong on the defensive side of the ball. Obviously with the change in offensive leadership, there will be some defectors (one OL). Fortunately hiring an instate OC, there will be some players who GT were looking strong at but didn't want to offer yet. Summers is an excellent recruiter and will continue building this defense in the mold of an elite G5 squad.

Having the latest 3 star DB commit and enroll this week is a great sign moving forward. I expect a strong finish once again from this football program.

Congrats. Not getting on ArkSt specifically as four is not crazy, but to each his own. I am just not a fan of signing a bunch JUCO's or taking a lot of transfers either. If you have a bunch of FR at a spot I get it but to build a roster I think is overall not good. When we got Jaybo Shaw going from pro style back to option was a perfect example of it making sense without any other major side effects. Any soph or RS soph you had at a spot that has busted his butt for two or three years getting the rugged pulled out from under him has to hurt team moral a little with not just that player but with guys he has been friends with for two to three years as well I would think. I think we saw how GaSt suffered after Farvbuckle left and there was not a solid back up that was brought along for years under the staff.

Aside from there being zero QBs on the team now. Spring ball should be really exciting. I guess now we have to rely on a true freshman to learn the system in a month or so. That sounds like the makings of another long season.
