RE: Top ACC Expansion Candidates
There are lots of direct flights to SLC from ATL, Miami, Charlotte, RDU, IAD, Reagan, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Dallas, and Boston. It's easy to get to, then easy to get to UofU. Not having to compete against the NFL and MLB is helpful.
The SLC DMA is the physically largest in the US. Larger than Denver. SLC goes into SW Wyoming, Southside Idaho, and NE Nevada.

I expect one a day SLC flight added to SYR within a couple years too with Micron building the huge facility

Over the last 15 years Utah is the fastest growing state in the Union.

Wasn't that Micron Microchip factory sponsored under the Obama administration? What's the hold up? Why does it take 10-12 years to build a factory?

IMO, as student-athletes begin to get more compensation, the financial situation is going to change rapidly for a lot of B12 schools. Once pay-for-play happens, the B1G and SEC are going to start taking further advantage of their athletic department revenue generation ability…regardless of whether there is a breakaway.
Per FY2021-22 (and 5 year average) EADA reports, average revenues for the new conference lineups:
SEC $162M ($142M over 5 years)
B1G $149M ($127M)
ACC $126M ($109M)
B12 $100M ($89M)
Kansas ($123M avg revenues over the past 5 years) and TCU ($118M) are the only B12 schools with strong financial resources. ASU ($107M), Arizona ($101M) and Baylor ($103M) are probably fine, because their revenues are comparable to the lower quartile in the SEC and B1G. Nevertheless, the majority of the B12 schools will struggle financially in the new environment. More than likely, some B12 schools will be available in four to six years…and they’ll have much stronger AD foundations to succeed (as compared to G5 call-ups).
You listed my top 3 expansion "wish list" teams: Kansas, TCU, and Arizona State.

1. I'm sure Utah holds out hope for a Big Ten invite that isn't coming, but
2. I'm also convinced that Utah (and Arizona State) would rather be in the ACC than the Big XII - they just didn't think an invitation was forthcoming.
BTW, Utah completes my top 4 best expansion candidates list.
(Note: USF is an exception and jumps to #1 if/only if FSU leaves and is #6 otherwise; Tulane is #5 for me if FSU stays - don't hold your breath!).
Will ASU be allowed to join the ACC if Zona isn't invited?
I like Utah, Arizona St, USF, UCONN, Oregon St and Colorado St. However I am wondering, what our chances are with Utah and Arizona St???

Just announced Oct 2022
Awaiting final corps of engineer report and the actual $10B or so from the federal government.
Ground should broken within 12 months. Just the first of hopefully 4 plants.
