Categorically false. Southeastern part of US is mostly Baptists. It's why they don't have alcohol...

It’s a shame so many players are sitting out these bowl games. Saw on the MAC board that Buffalo has 17 players sitting out for various reasons. These matchups are becoming tests for the strengths of the young players and backups of each team and do not reflect the strengths of the teams that have played throughout the regular season.

Anyone else think this looks exactly like two 6-6 teams playing?

(Don't @ me. I am allowed opinions; even when my team sucks eggs.)

This game is frustrating. Troy would have had 5 defensive scores. You got to catch those interceptions

Not just them either. Pretty much been this way everywhere since covid. For those of you arriving in Montgomery thinking this is really just a GA problem, bless your heart.

Montgomery's issues are pretty well known to most SBC Fans. They are currently under the ESPN bowl pool, We are under contract until 2025, though there will be years ESPN places our teams in other games.

I'm not sure there's a great way out of the deal since its technically with ESPN and not the game itself.

Lots of warts on display, but enough good plays to keep it entertaining. The 4th down conversion just now was nice! The blatant drop on 3rd down was not.

I'm liking all the freshmen that are playing so far. They'll be good in the coming years.

So the Sun Belt could realistically finish with a losing record in bowl games. All this talk of P6 is done or the best G5 is done.

Look at the other "best" G5 and you'll see they've gone 1-4 so far and can only achieve 4-4 maximum

RE: Georgia Southern vs Buffalo in Camellia Bowl
I noticed a huge loophole there on the last drive that I'd never really considered before.

Buffalo had that catch near the sideline that ultimately got reviewed with a running clock. The officials stopped the running clock at 3:00 minutes exactly to review the previous play with 7 seconds left on the playclock with Buffalo looking to milk the clock. The previous play was confirmed, but they put 25 seconds back on the playclock and restarted the clock at 3:00... which basically let Buffalo bleed off an additional 18 seconds. It ultimately didn't matter in this game because Buffalo converted another first down, but in that situation it seems like the game clock should be reset when the playclock bleeds that low.
