And yet they still manage to beat Ga Southern up and down the field.

GS had 6 turnovers. We already knew the defense was bad, but KVT had his worst game all year. It sucks that it happened in that game, but GS will be fine. As long as we can find a solid QB.

And yet I’d still rather be us than them

I agree with the turnovers and being us than them. The fact remains they've beaten us several times even when we were the better team. Hard to throw shade at a team that is 6-3 against us and still hasn't defeated some others in the conference.

THIS. Should not be smack talking gast until we own the series...embarrassing. No question we have the better fb program but they are our daddy on paper.

Seems like Montgomery was not quite ready for this game. Lots of bartender and alcohol shortages.

I’m hearing most bars and restaurants in downtown are not open and the ones that are have crazy wait times due to not expecting the GS crowd. Also the two restaurants by the fan hotel have been completely cleared out of alcohol.

It defeats the purpose of having a bowl game in your city. The main point is to showcase the city for tourists. People go to it and have a good time and then spread the word about what a great place it is and may visit again. Local businesses should be staffed to accommodate the influx of fans for at least 2+ nights to take in as much revenue as possible. That is just sad and poor planning on the people in Montgomery. If they aren't going to make an effort, why even host a bowl game?

Exactly this. If Montgomery wants to host a bowl game to showcase their tourism, then they need to help facilitate staffing and supplies. Chain businesses (restaurants) should send teams of people from other locations to help... its done in many other areas. Local restaurants and bars should get help from the city and county to provide supplemental staff or increased pay during the period. The city dropped the ball on this and there is absolutely no excuse.

Excited to see KVT ball out against his former team today. Should eclipse a 4000 yard passing season today

I can't even go to Burger King without running the risk of the lobby being closed due to staff shortage, which is surprisingly frequent. Not just them either. Pretty much been this way everywhere since covid. For those of you arriving in Montgomery thinking this is really just a GA problem, bless your heart.
