Congrats on a great season Appy State!

Thanks, good season from LA Tech as well.

App State is also short hand.

LOL. The next time someone over there wishes a natural disaster on a stadium full of fans of Louisiana Tech, because of their irrational hatred of my "irrelevant" school, please take the high road and call them out.

You mean one moronic fan posted something stupid, and because of that, their whole fanbase is also guilty?

WMU fans largely believe this game could go either way. In fact, few would be surprised at a loss here. We've been 'meh' since our Cotton Bowl season, and there's been skepticism that our third-year HC can win "big games."

Contributing to that is a bad taste in a lot of Bronco fans' mouths about our upset loss at NIU to finish the regular season (a win would've put us in the MAC championship game).

I've always kinda liked WKU, I suppose, because they are another Western and we were also called Hilltoppers once. My favorite WKU football alum might be KC Armstrong of the Howard Stern show fame. :)

That’s right I almost forgot about Western Michigan cotton bowl season. It is probably tough to get excited about a bowl game once you reach the G5 pinnacle.

I expect a competitive game, WKU surprised quite a few this year maybe they can cap off their season with a bowl win.

FIU dude you claimed LA Tech got something done App couldn’t.

That was comparing teams from games from 2016 to 2019. That is where your logic breaks down, clearly you can see that.

The 2019 Miami team isn’t a good team. They lost to Georgia Tech, FIU, Duke, and LA Tech, that is a terrible season for them.

I’m not saying the UAB win is better than Miami, but you could as UAB beat LA Tech.

If you want to compare the 2019 App team to any CUSA be my guest you will come up short.

While I suspect that there are a few teams that could have beaten App they can’t be faulted for the schedule they play. They beat two power five conference teams. Yes dominating the belt is no big deal but neither is dominating CUSA. App earned their ranking by beating the teams on their schedule. Now the Ga Sou loss was a huge black eye to a perfect year. Congrats App State on a great year. It’s ashamed you weren’t given a chance to play a better team in a bowl. Even playing La Tech would have been better. The best team in the g 5 in my opinion was FAU

FAU could have beaten Memphis. They were out three starters and still looked like world beaters. If FAU hadn’t started out so slow in the year they would have been highly ranked

But, given the amount of traffic across the national blogs, a Facebook page, Twitter, etc. I follow, Louisiana Tech is getting far more mention and play than had we played Appy State in the N.O. Bowl. This is not a knock on Appy State...it's unfortunately the state of affairs in CFB with the bias toward P5 conferences.

Beating Miami is good for our program. Period.

There's no question that telling recruits your team beat the Univ of Miami in a bowl game in front of 33K fans --all LA Tech fans-- is much more valuable that telling them you beat Appy State. 03-lmfao

I've seen Appy play twice: First, when they lost to GA Southern at home (and I have a hard time believing Miami would lose to GS at home), and secondly against UAB. Frankly I thought UAB stayed in that game much longer than they should have. Appy couldn't really put 'em away until late. I'm just not impressed with Appy like some of you people seem to be.

The people that matter are. Let’s see how many people are impressed with LA Tech when the polls come out. Should I go ahead and spoil the results?

UNC > Miami
UAB > LA Tech

Sorry.

Boy, you really need our validation, don't you! LOL!

You just don't seem to understand.....I just don't care about you and your school. I don't hate 'em, I'm just not sold on 'em. I can't explain why the poll people voted your school into the Top 25 DESPITE one of the ugliest late season home losses I've ever seen. Furthermore, factor in that you guys play in the worst conference in America, and the poll vote is simply inexplicable.

Lastly, your Bowl game was...meh....I believe you guys trailed for most of the game. You just didn't perform like a Top 25 team.

I agree that somebody in the poll voting likes ya, but whatever you've got....it just don't show. 07-coffee3

We did. LA Tech SHUT OUT its' P5 bowl opponent on national TV --the first time that has happened in 44 years of Independence Bowl play. Tech also never trailed in its' bowl game like you did in yours. Oh....and we had a bigger crowd too. And probably bigger TV ratings.

I don't know if we could have beaten Memphis. But one could make that argument. Memphis struggled with SMU and we blew them out. On Dec. 21st, we might have beaten Memphis. On Dec. 20th - who knows.
