Yeah, I'm not mad about it. And I'm definitely not dismissing Monmouth as a complete zero, but I feel like the people who tout the playoffs as bringing in top-tier opponents...welllllll

RE: Playoff Ticket Sales
Well I guess if you don't like an OOC #14 opponent at home in the playoffs not sure what to tell you other than........it is the 2nd round, 16 teams left.....well you know for a fact it is not one of the other 8 national seeds in the 2nd round.
14th ranked team in the country seems like a pretty solid solid playoff opponent. Sorry if it does NOT move the needle for anyone, geez......but god forbid the game be close or the bashing will commence when I thought that is what this crowd wanted stiff OOC competition and close ballgames.

I mean, I think we're talking about two different things. Are they a quality FCS opponent? Yes. Do they move the needle? No.

Does JMU award priority points for playoff ticket purchases? In not, may be a small token to encourage folks to make purchases.

I would of said yes, until you asked, but I guess since the NCAA get's the ticket revenues you might not get the credit.

No, there are no points for any ticket purchases outside of season tickets. I wish they did for playoffs, away games, etc.

Kinda with Ram - they should just because. I don't think anyone would object.

But it's the playoffs.
The following week will be a goody - at least for the diehards. I don't expect SDSU to be as easy as many others on this board. Probably the 2nd best team we've played this year even with their backup QB.

Going back to 08’,
-Semis have hosted Montana, SDSU
-Qtrs have hosted VU, SHSU (a fraud but were ranked #1 in the polls), Weber St.
-Rd of 16 have hosted Wofford, Colgate, UNH, SBU, Monmouth
-Rd of 24 have hosted Liberty, UD
Both semis and the last 2 qtrs were nationally televised.
The qtr finals & semis will mostly bring in top tier opponents. And like has been said before, not always in the 1st or 2nd round. And really, if you’re a top 2 seed, in a just world, you usually wouldn’t be facing a top tier opponent until the quarterfinals..

LOL, yeah ... blow them out and our opponents must just suck (see the whole CAA). Have a close game, or even a bad quarter and its "oh crap, we suck and won't go far this year ... team XYZ will beat us"
Folks really should go back and look at what happened in 2016/2017. Memories are short. Our team is damn good, loaded with guys who have a shot at the pros. There is a reason every NFL team has visited.
Who cares if its a blowout. Go enjoy the Daka, Carter, Polk, DiNucci show while we still can!

Apologies if I missed it mentioned already, but are the students going to be admitted for free? I know in the past, there has been for playoffs... reduced price tix for students to other games where it was free (and I think the athletic association picked up the tab for that).
I definitely agree with you. Looking at the upper deck sections are either completely open or over half open. I hope some folks see the weather is going to be good and will be buying tickets over the next few days. Otherwise, this could be 80+% students and rest of the stadium virtually empty. *SIGH*

RE: Playoff Ticket Sales
I know I am waiting until Wednesday or Thursday to see more of the weather before getting a ticket. I think if the current forecast holds true a lot of tickets will be sold towards the end of the week.

Does anyone know if donated tickets will count towards DC priority giving level? Trying to decide how many to purchase.

The only team in FCS that may move the needle is NDSU and I don’t even think hosting them would be a sell out by itself.
UD hosted this with multiple years notice and didn’t sell out a 20k stadium.

Yep. My 3 tickets will be purchased later. I have zero incentive or motivation to bother to buy early.
You wait to see what the weather and plans look like before committing.

No idea how many other do this, but I enjoy picking out new seats for the playoff games from time to time. Gives a great opportunity to check out possible options for future reseating.
