Try again. The big 12 and big east don't have a team outside the top 101 out of ten teams. The SEC and big ten are inside the top 133 with fourteen teams. That's more than half of the seven major conference with out an anchor. The AAC has Tulane 305 and ECU 218 (everyone else is under 127). The PAC has Cal 227 and Washington state 198, everyone else is under 123. The ACC has Wake Forest 192 and everyone else but Boston College under 100.
The mountain west isn't in the discussion. This is what MW fail to understand all the time. While the P6 campaign is about leveling the football playing conditions, it is an all sport effort. Basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, track, cross country, the conference wants to be at the top in all sports.

Not to be a prick, but the MWC stinks in basketball this year. 3 good teams (Nevada, Utah State, and Fresno State) and 8 cupcakes. If you combined the two leagues, 10 of the top 13 in NET ranking would be in the AAC. I'm honestly surprised the Mountain West hasn't been better of late, especially considering the PAC 12 has been mediocre for years. UNLV, New Mexico, San Diego State, Boise State, and Colorado State are all badly underperforming compared to their potential and past success.

I agree, though I expect one of the lower teams to pick it up. But 4 good teams still doesn’t cut it. Lots of new coaches this year and I expect things to improve down the road.

The AAC passed the Pac 12.
AAC 103.08
P12 106.42
I'd say looking at this- there is definitely a SOS component to the NET as more conference games are added, it's getting better and better for the AAC.

Yet we're still not ranked ahead of them?
Have you seen the rankings of East Carolina and Tulane? It's like the conference is running a race while dragging two dead bodies.
While having ECU at 218 is far from ideal, the Pac has Washington State at 196 and Cal at 227. Tulane is really the one that is killing us (302).
IMO, valid reasons exist for AAC overall improvement next season. The only school currently near the top that I think may step back is UCF.

Oregon just downed Arizona on the road. The Pac might actually be a one bid league this year. Lol

That was a 1+ point loss on the avg for the conference. It hurt for sure.
