Kemba willed his team to a NC. Of course he is talented, but his mental toughness is his best attribute IMO.

Mitch Kupchak will help with that...

I wish Cuban would take notes and finally get us a real GM like the Hornets did.

Memphis and Cincy are on Kenyon Martin Jr’s final eight list per his tweet. The other contenders are OK, OK St, West Virginia, Georgetown, Nevada, and FL St.

Kofi Cockburn, the 6-foot-10 center from Oak Hill (VA) Academy, is planning to take visits to Kentucky, UConn, Florida State, and Illinois, he told ZAGSBLOG Sunday at the Nike Academy.

“Kentucky and UConn are both blue blood schools that get the job done,” said Cockburn. “They’re known for winning championships and as places to get better.”

Y'all get him and we'll take Wiseman. Let Calipari go searching somewhere else.

KY is under siege from Memphis and UConn. Altough an imperfect comparison, I picture Visigoths and Vandals sacking Rome. 03-wink

He ain’t coming to UC.

From insiders, this isn’t happening nor has UC even officially offered. It seems like a real offer isn’t on the table and maybe they just agreed to make it look like UC was involved.

UC isn’t pushing, doesn’t care or want to be in his top 8. Id say he is 100% Memphis over any chance of UC.

He's not coming to Memphis, either. Not enough room. Higher priorities.

In my nightmares, I can still here his leg snapping at the Pyramid.

Such a shame. Cincy probably makes the Final 4 and wouldve been one of the favorites for the title.

I always wondered why Kenyon ended up at Cincy? Back then it seemed like most highly ranked basketball and football recruit from Texas went to a school in the SWC/Big 12. There are always exceptions but I never heard what pulled Kenyon to Cincy.

I do not believe he was a highly ranked recruit.

Forgot about Maxiell. Another from the long list of under the radar good players from our backyard we didn’t get.

rosewater, I thought that might have been the case. I didn’t following recruiting back then near like I do now. Just hard to imagine the #1 overall pick in the NBA draft not being highly recruited outta HS.

Out of curiosity, I just checked. Currently on the front page, there are THREE Ed Oliver title threads, and ONE Penny thread.

Somehow, I think a few peeps here are overreacting. Or, maybe I should say over-acting.

You posted two Penny threads within a week of each other. The other just got moved to the 2nd page. Neither of the two Ed Oliver threads posted by UH fans (the other was an attempted troll thread) were solely about Ed. One also mentioned Milton the UCF QB and the other was tied into SI's preseason rankings, which listed UH and UCF. Plus its Ed. Dude's earned his hype on the field. UH fans used to get a lot of **** for hyping him up in threads before he ever played a game (similar to how Memphis fans get **** for Penny not having coached yet), but after two years of balling out he's earned his hype.

True story. Also probably why SMU didn't make his Final 4.
