A lot of options nationally if we want to get serious.

That would be interesting. He would need the national guard to escort him in and out of Statesboro.

IMO - Pull Bobby Lamb from Mercer. Great coach. Recruits the south well. History with App and GS. Winner.

Other ideas?

Honestly don't think Coach Lamb would be interested. Think he knows he's got a good thing going at Mercer.

He would be interested just like Clark left us for FBS and Fritz left Sam. Coaches have egos too.

Clark would be a good choice as he could commute from his house for awhile. He lives halfway between Bham and ATL.

Nice call. Bohannon has his startup team focused - they are pretty intense. I know starting a program and turning one around are different but he should get a solid look.

Ton of good FCS coaches and FBS coordinators out there that will jump all over any FBS opportunity. Especially one where all you can do is improve. Unless there is stupid money left on a contract no reason for any FBS team to stand for poor results for very long.

I doubt we go FCS again. Hope we get someone who can recruit Atlanta.

so you think they will go with someone who hasn't been a head coach before?

that's the only way you will pull someone who isn't an FCS head coach, is to go after an fbs assistant at a g5 program.

That's probably the best guy you can get at this point. FIU was a train wreck before he got there. FIU is a similar school to Georgia St. Cristobal can recruit and y'all need talent more than anything.

Brian Bohannon and Bobby Lamb would be my 2nd and 3rd choices for yall.

Fire Miles, promote Jagodzinski, conduct a national search. Salvage next year's recruiting class while there's still time.

Cirstobal makes $515k/yr. Miles is making $550k. Would that be enough pay to lure him away from alabama?

Bump that up to $600-700K and it might be.

How bout taking a look at Russ Huesman (UT-Chattanooga). He's done a good job of pulling UTC out of the dumpster and making them competitive.
