You can call it made up or whatever, but we still pocketed the check.

Point is CUSA fans brow-beat us for Troy losing to AC... then went and lost to two FCS schools.
We all suck together.
As I have said before, it's definitely not a pretty picture in terms of W/L record, but in how many OOC games have we clearly underperformed? A lot of them were long shots or coin flips that we didn't get.
And if we suck, the MAC and CUSA do too. The only difference between the CUSA and SBC I see is that our cellar is probably stronger and their top team is probably better (not sure about the latter, Marshall doesn't face a P5 all year so they may not get tested unlike our teams like StAte).
Do you really believe that there's little to no difference between the SB and CUSA? Honestly. The difference between both leagues was insignificant the past couple of years but not this year. It's not even close. I don't know why some here are trying to make that argument. It is what it is.
Anyways, I hope the SB can bounce back next year and continue its trajectory.

The reality is that you have an equal chance of making national noise in the SBC or CUSA. For example, had we not given away the NC St and GT game, Ga Southern would be getting more national publicity than all of CUSA combined. Now you can argue about CUSA's G5 record and whipping eastern michigan etc, but Ga Southern's focus is on making a national mark and not those tiddly wink victories. The SBC gives us just as much chance of doing that as CUSA.

CUSA has done their business this year. SBC not so much.
We are still not going to be able to tell how this all shakes out for a few years yet. But CUSA started with a few holdover perception advantages and got out of the gate with a good impression. The first impression year was a bad time for the SBC to underperform.
This season still isn't over yet and we'll have bowl performances to try to recover some with. This is where it might be a bit of a shame for Georgia Southern to be out of the bowl picture.

Very true, I agree. It is nearly impossible to predict which conference will come out on top. However, I'm very confident about CUSA moving forward as I'm sure you guys are also after adding a couple of quality programs. Unlike many here, I won't make a fool out of myself by trying to predict the future. All I can say is that I like what I've seen in CUSA and I like our odds more. Having said that, we'll just have to wait and see.

How about you get those " tiddly wink victories " first and a few SB championships before turning your focus on "making a national mark". That's just my opinion.
I respect GS very much but most their fans are so full of s%$t it's repulsive.

You didn't give anything away, hell you held a 3 point lead for all of ten minutes against GT.
You've been told about depth issues during transition, you didn't give the NCSU game away they took it from you when your D was obviously gassed in the fourth quarter.
But hey, what do I know? I've been wrong about GS more times than you can count, right? Still waiting on those examples...

A part of me wishes we could stay in the Sun Belt but play a CUSA schedule just to shut some of these fools up.

If you don't like what some of us have to say, get off our board.

Maybe some, but if we keep it up, we will be helping out the conference and help bring in money to everyone.
And you're just hating because we aren't having a miserable transition like you guys did.
Just keeping it real...the only other teams to transition that had sustained success in 1AA were Marshall and App.

We boatraced Tech last time we played them.
I'm not even sure what exactly you want to shut me up from saying, do you feel you gave away the NCSU or GT games?
Your defense was clearly gassed in the fourth quarter against NCSU and I just don't see how losing to GT, albeit in the closing minutes, is giving anything away when they led for 75% of the game.
You guys have looked good, but talking like it's just a forgone conclusion that you'd beat us and "shut us fools up"...

If the same two teams have made the finals for many years that seems to show that both leagues show superior talent levels or coaching to make it that far. Has there been a Big Sky team in the finals? The Big Sky claims they are the best of FCS.

It speaks nothing of the league they are in.
I don't care about the Big Sky or what they say. the SLC was a mediocre league and has been for the better part of the last 10+ years.

How are you going to bring in this money? I'm really interested in hearing this answer.
As for the other part of your statement...
be glad you are entering FBS at a time when the SBC is probably the weakest it's been for about the last 10 years.
