Legit question (and I'm not trying to be a dick here):
If you are happy in the OVC, and glad you aren't in the Sun Belt... Why are you on this forum?
Truthfully we are happy in the OVC however with the changes occuring in cfb it is necessary to make a change and the SBC currently, due to location, is the best option for us. If a new conference moved up together in the south or east that would suffice also but I think most would agree that isnt going to happen.
Its nothing personal i was just saying the CUSA and the SBC, unlike last year, are stinking it up.
So your inferiority complex makes you want to browse the SBC forum in hopes that your team moves "up" to a stank conference. Dude just go away........

Im not sure thats a promotion.
However, what I think or how you or the guy humping buffalo feels has no relevance whatsoever on what my school or the sbc does. Really, come back to earth, you wont be calling anyone because honestly no one cares what you think.

A lot of our fans were worried that this conference would not be a promotion, and they have been proven wrong. You can tell yourself it's not a promotion, but you would only be lying to yourself.

I am going to go with the opinion that most of this league has no room to talk right now. The top of the league can talk a little...but our OOC results this year have been awful.
Time to talk was last year. We'll probably be able to talk again next year.
I fully support taking shots at Jacksonville State though.

Who at the top of the league has any room to talk?
ULM has the league's best win with Wake Forest... I'd say probably the second best win might be Tulsa (and that's NOT something to brag about... Tulsa is not a very good team).

Utah State is ranked much higher than Wake Forest or Tulsa, using any set of power rankings out there.
stAte's win against Utah St. is the best win by the Sun Belt conference.

That's the win I knew I was forgetting.
Dunno if I'd put it over Wake Forest (P5 vs. non P5), but I can definitely see an argument being made, as Wake is on the bottom of the P5, while Utah State is a conference contender for MWC.

I guess "best win" could mean different things.
However, the best team beaten by a Sun Belt conference team is Utah State, at least according to the available ranking systems.

That win is much better than the WF win...

Not to mention that Utah State beat Wake by three touchdowns the week before we played them.
As it stands, its entirely possible they will be the only SBC FBS OOC Victory to finish over .500 on the year. (GS and USA still have a shot at Navy)

Wow!!! They sure grow the skoofy potent down there!!! Puff puff pass some of what he's having... Are you freakin' serious??? NOT a promotion???
I'll tell you what sonny... I'll send you a ticket to any top tier SBC or CUSA game...and you be a good lad and put it in your tri-fold wallet next to your 1986 Honda registration and library card. Then you can compare your conference games played in front of 5 dozen fans, eight senior citizen groups, the red hat society, and 30 youth centers (all of whom got cut rate tickets) to 25,000-30,000 fans in a big boy stadium....
Not a promotion... Pure ignorance

According to the ncaa for 2013 marshall average attendance was 25000. Which is good but not great.
also you might note that attendance for Jax st. fall right in the middle for cusa and sbc teams. Also i have seen some cusa and sbc games and they certainly doctor the numbers.

RE: For the CUSA folks that laughed at the SBC for taking a loss to Abilene Christian
Jacksonville State is screwed, they have no chance of moving to CUSA and next to no chance of moving to the Sun Belt, it would probably take USA leaving and even still the conference would probably have to be on the verge of collapse for Troy to be okay with it and while realignment may not be over, I'm not sure I see a scenario in which the Sun Belt is looking for 3+ members which is likely what it would take for Jax to even enter the discussion.
Good thing it's not a promotion.

"We don't doctor our numbers, but they(insert rival school or conference) do!"-said insecure fans in every fanbase in America.
