We're 4-7 against UNT, but probably should have beaten them in 2001, 2005, and 2010. C'est la vie.

The 2005 and 2010 mean nothing to me, but the 2001 was a big deal.

#1. A large amount of the negative national impression the Sun Belt has dealt with was a direct result of that loss.

#2. The decision to stick to the rules as written and send UNT to the New Orleans Bowl despite pressure from the bowl and ESPN to send co-champ MT set the tone for the class the league has displayed. The message was sent that we will keep our word even if it means taking heat.

Good news, you can rest easy. MTSU and WKU would make fine replacements. Y'all and the other Lousiana could then renew your acquaintances with NW St and McNeese.

If this is truly a Roast, we get to hit back at the end, right ?

I'm glad to be rid of UNT, they were an embarressment. the Mean Green lost to everybody and really hurt our image as a Conference. I am MUCH happier having Texas State in the league.

FIU, you guys were pretty cool there at the end.

Okay. I'm good with this thread. I like having fun too, but I see no reason to attack Texas.

I'd hope the Texas State fans would agree.

How many straight conference wins did we have? How many years in a row did we win?

I'm pretty sure having Troy which is backwards in just about everything is a bigger embarrassment to the SBC.

Dear FIU,

I hate to see the Dazzlers go... but I love to watch them leave.

Sincerely,

The Sunbelt

ps I hope you both get put on probation for at least 10 years but go undefeated all 10 of those years.

pps I hope you all get lured into a van at Legion Field when you play UAB. (All kidding aside, invest in some Kevlar)

I'm sure we were pretty embarassing:

Troy 24 #17 Missouri 14
Troy 41 Oklahoma State 23

8-2 vs UNT

Conference Champs 2006, 2007, 2008*,2009,2010

I feel so ashamed:)02-13-banana

As a Tennessean, I feel proud that Tennesseans contributed greatly to the liberation of Texas (suck it, cinco de mayo). Otherwise, cusa would be welcoming the university of north mexico. Hope unt has good success there.

As a proud Texan, I will never forget the great contributions and sacrifices of many Tennesseans as well as other states. Thank you.

cinco de mayo is a stupid celebration, because it has nothing to do with America. It celebrates a Mexican victory over the French. Is that really something to celebrate?

If beer, margaritas and tacos are half price... it's an excellent reason to celebrate.

It's Texas. I can enjoy good/cheap margaritas and tacos every day if I wanted to, but I see your point. 04-cheers
