You see that and wonder why there isn't better football being played at the Mississippi schools.

Simple. Bama tends to take first pick of players from the north and the eastern parts of the state and LSU tends to take first pick from the south and west. A great deal of their talent funnels into a great juco football system and juco players tend to play more snaps over four years than a player going to a four year school and they tend to be offered and signed by four year schools who need a player ready to start. You generally don't waste time on a guy who isn't going to play a majority of snaps on his side of the ball as a junior. That funnels even more talent out of state.

Interesting information. Thanks for the information.

Between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale market, 12 athletes (8 from Miami and 4 from Broward County) were drafted by the NFL, with a similar number being invited to NFL camps just this past week. In essence, our are/counties produces a staggering number of NFL players.
