Maybe, just maybe, Houston will do us a solid and allow UCONN to get to .500 in the conf. reg. season. I won't hold out hope of that happening, but a fan can dream. Can't he?

Tulane up 7-0 in the 4th but rain looming.
Hopefully, they finish 5 before it starts again.
Field may not be able handle more rain.

RE: AAC Baseball Tournament
With UH winning the regular season title...and having a good high RPI, UH might be the only team guaranteed an at-large invite, even if they go 0-2 in Conf Tourn.

Believe all others need at least 1 win (i.e. USF) some need at least 2 (ECU and Tulane), to get an at-large bid.

RE: AAC Baseball Tournament
I think one win in tournament will do it for Tulane to get a NCAA invite. Our first game is against one of the top pitchers in the AAC,Carson with U Conn. Tulane's rpi is now 37. Tulane has been to Omaha twice and six consecutive regional appearances.

RE: AAC Baseball Tournament
I don't think any of the top 4 which right now look good to get into the NCAA tournament want to go 0-2
The reality is that at least one of those four could go 1-2. Hopefully the championship game will be between two of those four and not from the other four that are currently out of the picture

I'd say that ECU is likely in at 0-2. tulane and USF may be in at 0-2, although that may depend on what else happens in the AAC tourney and elsewhere.
All 3 really should be safe at 1-2.
Houston needs to win games to host, so they have an incentive (plus, since we played them 6 times this year, a Houston win helps our RPI!).

We got the better side as we avoid the two RPI anchors and will likely get UH or USF if we make it to the championship game.

RE: AAC Baseball Tournament
The U Conn pitcher Carson is going to be a major challenge for Tulane Wednesday. Put I believe in our momentum from Saturday's third Memphis game and our great pitching and timely hitting. In my opinion if we go two wins deep in tournament we get a NCAA bid with Houston and East Carolina.
