Put I believe in our momentum from Saturday's third Memphis game and our great pitching and timely hitting. In my opinion if we go two wins deep in tournament we get a NCAA bid with Houston and East Carolina.

Don't forget USF

AAC Baseball Tournament
Regionals of CofC, Coastal Carolina, UNC-W, and ECU and Vandy, UNC, UVA, and Radford would be perfect but there are likely rules that prevents that and would ship UVA or UNC to the CofC regional.

Perfect scenarios:

Charleston Regional

CofC
Coastal Carolina
UNC-W
ECU

Nashville Regional

Vandy
UNC
UVA
Radford

But as noted likely rules against UNC and UVA being in the same regional so one moves to Charleston.

Damn, that's confusing. Why can't they just do a single elimination tournament like you do in basketball? And who is "Group A" and "Group B"?

Forgive me, I'm not a baseball person at all. It's just hard to understand how this format produces a champion.

Aside from UNCW all those teams will be 1/2 seeds with ecu possibly being a 3. No way those happen

Baseball is too "flukey" for single elimination. Pretty much every level of the postseason uses double elimination format.

That schedule is laid out very poorly and would have been much more clear in bracket format. Check out this link:

This may be a dumb question, but why are the Florida schools playing in the early games? USF/Memphis and ECU/UCF would likely have better attendance at 7 PM.

One word, Weather! This is our rainy season and there has been rain forecast for this entire week.

That would be my best guess. 04-cheers

It's probably that they're accommodating a schools travel times. Just allowing schools from later time zones to play the later game perhaps. I honestly have no clue. Just guessing. 04-cheers
