CMU
I know this thread will turn into a complete dumpster fire, but...
Yesterday was CMU's toughest remaining game by far. They could be looking at a 9 win season.

RE: CMU
I've thought they were a good team since they went on the road and beat a decent Purdue team.

RE: CMU
And in all seriousness, this is the MAC, CMU will trip on their peckers along the way. But frankly I wouldn't be disappointed to have a very meaningful game against the chips in November.

As they've already played Toledo and NIU, and Ball State is "down", could well be true.
We're the only team remaining on their schedule that's even .500.

Maybe Enos and Fleck will crush it, get hired by BCS programs and everyone will be happy!

RE: CMU
I'm hoping that Enos gets distracted by issues at home.
Mr. Enos, this is Midland Middle School. Dan Jr. Is stealing lunch money again, can you come in, we may need to suspend him.
Mr. Enos, we are at a loss here. Do you have any idea on how we can change Dan Jrs. behavior?
Have you people tried bribing him with a Tootsie Roll? Perhaps the football coach could bench him for one series of downs. Have you considered telling him he can't post on Twitter during class?
We don't allow cell phones in class Mr. Enos!
No cell phones in class, you people are carrying this too far!
No, Mr. Enos, no child can be on a cell phone in class, not even Dan Jr.
But he's the best player on the Midland Middle School Team, surely you can make an exception.
Damn it we're done here. I'm moving Dan Jr. over to Ithica Jr. High. Now is there anyway I can get these referrals for stealing expunged from his file, I want Danny to start fresh.
It's not as though he committed a felony Mr. Enos, there's nothing in his file regarding his indiscretion.
Great, I knew this was blown out of proportion. Come on son, I never doubted you!
Thanks dad! Can we stop at Best Buy and get me an IPhone 6.
You betcha, son!

If Rawls winds up playing each week from here on out, I'm inclined to agree. The team's a one man show, and it's him.

Hang on now, you two aren't implying that Enos and Rawls are pigs are you?
Come on, no one wants to hear that kind of talk, the "kid" simply made a "mistake" and has paid the price. It's time to move on and congratulate CMU on giving this "youngster" a second and third chance.

RE: CMU
After reviewing Toledo's remaining schedule, I will have to retract my prediction of a CMU MAC championship. I don't see any likely losses on Toledo's schedule, looks like Toledo will win the west.
On the other hand, CMU should go bowling, and maybe WMU as well.

I think BGSU, CMU and NIU are losses. If we can manage to beat Ohio, EMU and Miami (and none of those are a given, obviously), we go 6-6 and a nice rebound of a season.
Thing is, parity in the MAC is even more pronounced than usual this year. It's one of those years where we'll probably lose at Miami and beat NIU. Who knows. Feels all over the map, conference-wide.

Clearly what I'm saying is there are a few more "good" ones right now that Hoke should send Eeyore Dan before he gets fired. At least put in a good word for CMU with these kids.
Why didn't Dan go after his MSU Brotherhood recruit JC from Cass Tech? Oh, maybe that is because JC was only out of jail for 3 hours and Eeyore Dan didn't act quick enough.

Well, Toledo already got convicted felon Csonte York from scUM, so he's off the board.

I don't think there's any clear favorite this year. The Chips got blown out by Toledo, but right now all it takes for Toledo is to lose 1. There's so much parity this year that it could be anyone. Northern Illinois isn't as good as they have been. I think WMU goes 6-6, just like my preseason prediction, but there's no reason why they can't go 7-5. I definitely agree they'll beat someone they 'shouldn't' like NIU, but lose to Miami or someone they should beat.
I think the ultimate point is that the MAC Championship game itself will be a huge toss-up.
