I don't know stats on felons in the military but i know they are in some branches. The crime has to be non-violent.

Well, I'd say that I have a better chance of winning the lottery than they do operating a signal shelter.

That is true. They will never do anything that requires them to get a clearance. But they do get a chance to get their lives straight so I can't complain..

Back in the days of the Draft, Judges were sticking many a hot-head straight out of court and into the Military.

Once inside, some made it and some didn't ... those that did usually went on to be some of the best Soldiers in the Field.

Sometimes all it takes is that right discipline in the proper environment and a tragedy turns into a success.

It beats the pants off wasting your life in Prison.
