UAB should win the game tomorrow. But it wouldn't be surprising if they didn't.
Memphis and UAB are very similar teams (Memphis is a more talented but less disciplined version with a lot of the same strengths and weaknesses).
I expected the Tigers to pull it out after they got down 13. Kind of game Wichita has struggled to close out. But in the last two weeks they have held on to beat UAB and Memphis after allowing comebacks. They're putting it together.
Need Yax and JD to show up big in this one. And somebody please guard Rogers this time. If JD and Yax can stay out of foul trouble, I wouldn't mind trying Coleman on him some just to make him face some length.
Colby Rogers, over the last five games, has gone for 29, 25, 29, 22, and 13 points. That’s 118 points! An average of 23.6 points/game, while shooting poorly today.
The howlers at MT.org are lobbying to hire Huggins or Will Wade (whose show cause ends after this season), but the odds are that Penny gets another year, maybe two.
Watching SMOO Vs Temple. Chuck Harris just landed on a temple players foot after a jump shotand messed up his ankle bad enough that he had to get carried to the locker room. Sucks for him and the Mustangs.
They gave him eight seasons to prove himself (2017-2024). He had one winning conference record and two winning seasons. He reach 20 wins once. Five times he had 15 wins or less.
Chuck Harris came back in after halftime. He's obviously gimpy on the ankle but playing through it. Temple playing like they bet on themselves tonight, up 9 with 6 to play.
Wow. Thats got to be the best instant response to missing FTs with the game on the line I've ever seen. 90% FT shooter misses 3 of 4 to let Colorado back in it to tie the game, then calmly banks in the half court runner to win the game with no time left.
