You can put your name in the portal and stay. If we get the hire right we can keep who we want to, and being a bunch of new faces in.

Every school with a head coaching vacancy or a newly hired HC is at risk to the portal as is every D1 school. Transfers part of the game now. A year ago, people freaked out when Anthony Torres our top TE transfered to Toledo. Through 12 games played this year, he has 3 receptions. THREE. Some that leave will hurt, others won't. Some WMU brings in will pan out, others wont. Just have to let it play out as well as the coaching search.

Regarding Torres, he had 2 of those receptions against us last Friday. I watched him closely…he seemed slower than I remembered. I will say…damn near every veteran Bronco came over to shake his hand after the game. They even had to form a line to wait for each other. Lester gave him a big hug as well.

The HOW (couldn’t resist) and who of a firing matters, though. I don’t think this firing falls even close to the easy for players to cope with category.

Article in partially incorrect, Fiske had several MAC offers out of HS.

So, will his landing spot get all the credit on draft day? That will sting, especially if it is the BIG.

Keep in mind that all these guys going into the portal still have the option to stay here once a new coach is hired. Getting a guy hired quickly is important.
