Let’s get this thread back on track.

1) TROY STATE (better wins, better loss)
2) JMU
3) APP STATE
4) GS
5) USA (wins over teams that are 10 - 23) [4-0 against La teams]
6) LA
7) TX STATE
8) COASTAL
9) GA STATE
10) MARSHALL
11) ODU
12) USM
13) ARK STATE
14) ULM

1) USA- only loss is to a top 10 team they should have beaten
2) JMU- only loss they still looked good in. Playing a team that looked good the first game all season.
3) Troy- Plays solid every game losses to a top 10 Ole Miss team and a good App state team they should have beaten at their place.
4) App State- Has played good all season except for one bad loss at Texas State.
5) Coastal- Haven't looked great all season, but always managed to win except for ODU which for the first time all season looked like a good football team.
6) Georgia Southern- Hasn't looked bad all season even in their losses which have been away games and close. They haven't looked great in any games though either other than against JMU.
7) USM- Beat which is looking to be a top 25 Tulane. Lost to a good Liberty and Troy team. Other loss is to an okish Miami. Hasn't looked good all season though. Just been ok, but still able to pull out some wins.
8) Louisiana- Hasn't played bad or good all season, but seems to be rounding the corner and is on the upswing in my opinion.
9) ODU- Played one good game against Coastal in all others have looked flat to okish. Their D has generally been decent. They can move up a lot if they can prove to me they can get it up for anyone other than a Sunbelt team who is also in the top 25. One game playing good does not make a good team.
10) Marshall- Definitely can play well, but seem to be on the down swing
11) Texas State- Beat App state and 2 other bad teams. They will need to like ODU prove to me that they can play with energy for more than just one game.
12) ULM- Played well in 2 games. 1 of those even playing with energy still lost. They can move up if they can find that energy in every game.
13) Arkansas State- Beat the bottom team on my list and an FCS team. They have looked a little lost every time I have seen them.
14) Georgia State- Played okish in exactly one game. Lost to Charlotte though which is absolute poo poo bad. We'll see if they can play decent in more than just one game.

So is your reasoning. That's like saying if ULM has just scored 1 more TD in our last 2 games we would be 3-1 and leading the West. Is it true? Sure. Is it really that simple? Apparently not, you have us at #14.

When we don't throw interceptions we're pretty dang good. Which means we're only good some times.

So a tight loss to your #2 on the road means next to last while getting blown out at home to your number one means 4th. Damn, ODU must be #1 by a mile then. Especially considering how much JMU has dominated other games besides App while Coastal has had close wins against winless vs FBS Army, Gardner-Webb, ULM, and GS.

I get that you could make similar arguments for a lot of rankings and the SBC is really hard to rank right now, but ODU first and JMU next to last is still hilarious. You squeaked out a 3 point win at home over a banged up team that got some injured guys back the next week to lose 42-20 at home to JMU.

I think you’re overrated. App State had you and should have won. Southern exposed your secondary - and we will as well. You think more of yourself and your program than you should. We beat VT, should have beat UVA, and beat Coastal on their home field. Trust me, we will beat you on Nov 12.

1) South Alabama - ULM gave them a game, but they keep winning. Only loss to a Top Ten team. (LW4)
2) JMU - Got upset this week like I predicted. Now that's out of their system. (LW1)
3) Troy - Not playing as well as earlier in the year, but still winning. (LW3)
4) Coastal Carolina - After just barely winning most of their games, ODU smoked them. (LW2)

5) ODU - Stomped CCU, but needs to be more consistent to move up to the first group. (LW10)
6) App - Bye. (LW5)
7) Southern Miss - Squeaked out a home win against Arkansas State. (LW6)
8) GA State - Bye. (LW7)
9) GA Southern - Lost to Ga St. (LW9)

10) Louisiana - Handled Marshall, now need to be consistent. (LW14)
11) Texas State - Gave Troy a game after beating App, maybe they should be in the next group up? (LW11)
12) ULM - Gave USA a game after giving CCU a game last week. Have to win to move to the next group up. (LW13)

13) Ark State - Lost again. (LW12)

If we were all unoriginal, or lazy enough to just list the sp+ teams in order it would render this thread even more unnecessary than it is.

Troy has gotten better since earlier in the year. There hasn't really been any regression.

While the offense hasn't been spectacular all year, it's hard to expect much... Troy has undoubtedly faced the best defenses of any SBC team up to this point:
