Been watching Coastal since football started and they wanted to get into the SoCon. Great run with McCall and we'll see if that helps future recruiting and building community support. Lots of Tiger, Rooster, and Dawgs fans at the Beach which itself is a transient community. The bonus is the Yankees have lots of money to donate, but a weird demographic situation for Coastal. The Beach must be the recruiting attraction.

Our community support is good, and our attendance is just fine when we are playing an attractive opponent.

We had a sell out against army, and are on track for another sell out against you guys.

The problem with our attendance really comes down to the fact that our fans aren’t going to show up to watch us play the likes of Gardner Webb and Buffalo.

Right or wrong, I’m just telling you the reality.

It wouldn’t be a Coastal Georgia Southern game without heavy rain. Bring your ponchos

We been dealing with that stuff for 2 years now. Old hat.

You have to admit that it's more fun than getting into a stat war to figure out who's better or just hurling insults across the message board all week.

Not going to lie, I hope this game does get moved to Thursday or Friday but I don't see it. It would get me a better chance to watch it. And I think this is 100% the best SBC game this week.

Prolonged winning over time helps community support. Builds a presence and strong core. Coastal stays on this path and they'll be in good shape long term in a booming community. Just a completely different story when you have generations and generations of fans.

They are just now getting kids growing up Coastal fans.

A win for Southern pretty much clinches bowl eligibility and a win for CCU keeps an unlikely NY6 game still at play. I'm torn for who should win. Should we shoot for 10-12 teams bowl eligible or a front runner that doesn't have the strength of schedule to get into the CFP top 15 ranking and a chance at a marque post season matchup?

GS is rightfully the underdog. I don't think our D is ready for a high-powered offense even with a backup QB.

With Carpenter the offense slows to a crawl. He could still make some things happen but isn't nearly as dynamic as McCall. Guest is more McCall like but we will go with the super duper senior Carpenter first.

What’s this talk of Carpenter and Guest? McCall is playing, he’s fine.

JCGSU mentioned backup QB, so I talked about our backup QBs.

My thoughts exactly. -9.5 is about right. Actually, our D isn't ready for much of anything...

Based on each weather update this storm is picking up speed once it crosses florida. We went from looking at a downpour during the game to this thing being out of the state of SC by mid morning.

It's possible as of now that we will have beautiful weather at 4pm in Conwway.

Good weather will be good for the sell out crowd. Like to see the high attendance numbers in beautiful Brooks stadium.

But I think a game in a downpour would have actually benefited us. Our pass defense is such a joke that if the weather had limited that part of GS’s offense, then I think we could have won pretty easily.

We run the ball well and we defend the run decently well.

So McCall isn't 100% but should play. About what I expected.

Although if it's something nagging like a high ankle sprain, his level of play will be affected....definitely something to keep an eye on.

Could make him one dimensional, which puts a pretty big damper on our offense

I'd like to see him limping a little right out of the gate.

Let me be clear that I don't root for injuries and I don't even care about playing a team with a disadvantage. I just don't want him to come up lame after a hit and have to hear Chadwell cry about dirty play again.
