#22 Texas loses to unranked Texas Tech
#23 Texas A&M currently losing to #10 Arkansas
#25 Miami currently losing to unranked MTSU

Wake and A&M get more slack than the others though because of playing a higher ranked opponent. #21 Wake losing to #5 Clemson in 2OT won't get them to drop out. They may even pick up some spots.

But JMU should definitely pick up some votes.

Washington State also failed in their bid to upset #15 Oregon. They would have been 4-0 and almost certainly would have been in the top 25. Instead, there is one less undefeated team.

No way we're ranked. A few votes is a possibility.

probably need to get to 5-0 before we get votes. works for me - keep everyone hungry af.

Need to take care of TXST. Appy was a hype game. TXST could be a trap game, though rain is in the forecast and probably a plus for us. Ark St is better than what many give credit for and we are traveling to their place before we have another road game against GS.

Cannot take any of those teams for granted.

App State was essentially #28 this past week with 77 AP / 68 Coaches vote points. This win coupled with MTSU’s win over Miami, we will 100% be receiving some amount of votes this week.

Maybe a few also-ran votes. Our SOS sucks even with App. There are probably two dozen teams which have our resume.

What’s more likely is that we’ll get a little time on ESPN for being another chapter in App State’s crazy season.

I think JMU will be just outside of the top 25, but if they can win at home next week against a bad Texas State team, that maybe enough to put them in the limelight with its first ever appearance in the FBS top 25 poll. DOING IT IN ITS FIRST TRANSITION YEAR FROM FCS !

I couldn’t sleep last night with excitement waking me up at 3AM. I don’t think I will sleep much tonight either.

This feels like JMU made a quantum leap from just fielding a competitive team in year one to kicking down the FBS door and swinging a big Johnson in everybody’s face. This is nuts and feels like it is coming about 2 years too early.
