We’ve got to cool it on that stuff. Go there to talk, defend your programs if someone gets something factually wrong, but stop peeing into their swimming pools. It looks really really petty at this point.

Never thought about it, but if Idaho had just held onto FBS for a few more years, they probably would have ended up with a lifeline from CUSA. Unless, even at that point, the members were like, "no, we're still not going all the way up there."

I read there infrequently, post sparingly, and start threads, well, never, at least in the past several years.

SBC is attempting to grow its National brand. Its honestly a little harder to advertise in SEC and ACC Country because we're asking people up there to make the SBC their 2nd favorite league
Many of the Football fans in the Northeast don't necessarily have a local team to support.
Ya. While I was on a work trip this past weekend in San Antonio random person was a sec homer but acknowledged and called the Sun Belt the sec light. While still a jab its also a nod.

Fine use of advertising dollars, considering you get double duty when you spread it on social media. College Gameday might even flash it on national TV.
Exactly. It was probably up there one day in rotation. We get to take a bunch of photos of the ads in Times Square and use them on social and print promotions. The value is in the photos and being able to say we were in Times Square. Not actually having visitors to NYC see it.

We want to be known in the South for recruiting and for scheduling those rare SEC matchups.
Same. The Belt really seems to have similarities to the SEC at a G5 level. Except for the financial advantages. If we became known as the SEC as the G5 it wouldn't bother me.
