There's also that crazy guy on Twitter who got banned here who loves C-USA and hates the Sun Belt, especially Southern Miss and Marshall.

He has seen the light.

SBC is attempting to grow its National brand. Its honestly a little harder to advertise in SEC and ACC Country because we're asking people up there to make the SBC their 2nd favorite league

Many of the Football fans in the Northeast don't necessarily have a local team to support.
This!

Not a waste of money even if it doesn't land on college game day.

Yep, and as mentioned earlier, there are people from all parts of the US (and world) in Times Square every day.

Times Square is a tourist trap. Not many New Yorkers spend much time there. This is a wise move.

Love this, it could pay huge long term dividends.

Boost the SBC brand and get more viewers watching it on ESPN. Higher ratings = more airtime and better future media contracts. With enough forward momentum and some CFP bids, this is how one goes from being a “G5” to a “P6” in 5 or 10 years.

And don’t overlook the fact that at any given time, somebody is filming something in Times Square. You might see these ads in a network talk show opening tonight or a movie a year from now. You never know.

But the big thing is just the sheer publicity and cool factor of it. Anything to get people talking.

As far as marketing campaigns go, I want the SBC to be the Anti-AAC. Let's go a completely different direction. P6 always struck me as insecurity masked as confidence. SBC can be different AND successful.

All we have to do is tell our stories, lean into our strengths, win, and the public will get the message. All we have to do is look at how we are the toast of College Football, and we did it without a P6 campaign or pretending we are something that we are not. We did it by being exactly who we are.

The Sun Belt Conference is being promoted in the heart of the #1 TV market in the country.

That's the way to do it, don't bring football programs to the marketz, bring the markets to the football programs.

We already own more of the CLT market than the other G5 conferences.

Sun Belt showing off in Times Square
SB fans have got to stop going to the AAC board and gloating so much. A sallybammy fan created a thread there just to post this tweet on their board. We’ve got to cool it on that stuff. Go there to talk, defend your programs if someone gets something factually wrong, but stop peeing into their swimming pools. It looks really really petty at this point.

Very well said: We are what College Football is suppose to be. Let's show it off.

When you have successful brands and successful football, the entire country is your market.
