NMSU will get a waiver if it came to that due to the circumstances of the situation with San Jose State; as is it looks like they will be short a pair of teams for bowl eligibility so NMSU could move to the top of the pecking order if need be.

Good points. But beating Missouri or Liberty will be a tall order. One of those has to happen for our December 3rd game equating to a 6th win.

It turned out to be a mistake to mentioned the interview I guess.

Back to WAC football, ACU plays SFA for the WAC championship this weekend. The WAC-ASUN autobid is at the mercy of computers.

I’m not a betting man either but I did pick Tarleton over Houston Christian this week in the AGS Survival pool. A loss and you are out of the competition. I’ve survived all season, I’d hate to wash out this close to the playoffs.

Incarnate Word looks better and better. I'm happy for them and wish they could've been WACers.

I don't really know who will get the start on Saturday: Long or McIvor. I'm not sure it really matters though. Either way, this was a great little interview with McIvor. It should be a good game. I expect SFA to be very physical.

Interesting article I think.

It seems we actually had a little bump in years 1-2 after the transition before we started falling down the ladder. We are just now beginning to get some momentum again.

Tarleton's was worse. We are now in a funk the likes we haven't seen since 2015. 3 regular season L's in a row. And they have been some FUGLY L's. Yes, "Pitiful" L's. And what happened after the 2015 season? HC got FIRED!

This confused, scaredy cat QB play is really getting old. It's just not Tarleton Football and I hate watching it. He only threw 1 INT last week, but of course, it was a Pick-6 doozy. After that, he took.....6 SACKS! The best OL in the WAC didn't give up those sacks. The QB looked lost and took those sacks. Every single one of them. Might as well just punt the friggin' ball on 1st down at this point. I don't give a sh*t if he was a 4-star recruit. The Force is weak with this one. Time to come to grips with the fact that he sucks! Tarleton Football does not lose 3 in a row. Especially not at this point in transition. If we lose next week, with this QB at the helm, it's time to start calling (louder) for a coaching change!

I’m not ready to give up on Allen. He has all of the tools to be a great QB, now he needs to learn how to play QB. If Whitten is the great QB Whisper, then give him an off-season to teach Allen how to play the position. Practice, practice and practice. Watch lots of tape. Work with the receivers over the summer. Let’s see if Allen has the work ethic and if Whitten can teach. Put some effort into Allen and let’s see if he is willing to put some effort into himself. If there is no improvement during the off-season, then cast him aside and move on.

BTW, there is a very similar issue going on about two hours south of the Ville with a burnt orange football team.

A bit fanciful, but I was worried that burnt organge team might be watching the ACU vs. SHSU game and they might try to raid our backup quarterback who won WAC player of the week award. The Cats have a good one-two punch with McIvor and Long. Of course the Horns have a famous name QB (Arch Manning) who will enroll in the second semester to get started before finishing high school. Ewers did not adapt to the defense of TCU very well.

RE: WAC Football 2022
Huge day for the WAC today as ACU and SFA battle for the Conference Championship starting in about 4 hours. Problem is the temperature right now is 33 degrees F -- hopefully the prediction that we will get over 40 degrees at game time will at least be achieved. It will be cold no matter. Warning of light snow later in the evening. For Wildcats we are hoping for a fine game and a Championship. Golf, Tennis, and Football titles at the same time would be very nice. I just hope for no injuries for either the LumberJacks or Wildcats.

Todd Whitten is your coach, maybe make suggestions to your administrators before other schools.

SFA wins the WAC Championship 24-21. The Lumberjacks played well, but got a gift of two ACU missed FGs from closer than their make. Lots of skill on the field and SFA played a solid game. Self is really fine quarterback.

RE: WAC Football 2022
ACU sucked eggs and forgot how to play basic football today. Pass coverage was weak and constantly gave SFA receivers 10-15 yards to catch the ball, or just plain blew coverage. They stood around, let them catch the ball and then come to them before tackling. They kept running past the QB and then couldn't catch him when he stepped up or took off running. The play calling was beyond asinine when we kept throwing the ball downfield knowing we just needed to make first downs towards the end. We got cocky early and thought we were hot stuff. SFA cooled us off real quick. After a great season, ACU embarrassed themselves on home turf to pi$$ away the WAC championship...

**Oh yeah, we couldn't run block to save our lives...**
