RE: Eastern Michigan 2022 Men's Basketball Verbal Commits
Interesting that Pitt signed JUCO big man a couple days after official visit by Graham brothers. I suspect Pitt felt that after the basketball workout by the Graham brothers, they would rather sign the JUCO Big. We are recruiting the Graham brothers.
In late April, a source confirmed to Pittsburgh Sports Now that Pitt will play n late April, a source confirmed to Pittsburgh Sports Now that Pitt will play host to two class-of-2022 prospects, Jorge and Guillermo Diaz-Graham, for official visits to campus from April 21-23, as first reported by On3’s Jamie Shaw.host to two class-of-2022 prospects, Jorge and Guillermo Diaz-Graham, for official visits to campus from April 21-23, as first reported by On3’s Jamie Shaw.

Neither of the Diaz brothers have scheduled EMU for a visit through the end of April.

I completely agree, plus Miami Ohio hasn't been a MAC powerhouse the past 10-15 years! I could understand Toledo, Akron, Buffalo, or Kent State! To me Heath has this year to make a major turnaround, or most likely it's not happening! Look at Groce, and Boals from 1st season to 2nd season! Akron lost the entire team, and Ohio was ranked below us 3 seasons ago! Tod K went from 4-28 in season one, to a winning record in season 2 at Toledo! Let's hope for the best!

I’m not throwing in the towel just yet as the portal is full of good players.
We may not be able to evaluate the roster until Aug 1.

Hope EMU gets some recruit commitments soon, and we know the final roster much earlier than August.

Not sure what his recruitment is. May not even be MAC level. Not sure what is going on with him.
Strange to have a player not close to committing so late in the recruiting cycle. When tests were required I'd assume a recruit was waiting for a passing score.
I don't know if programs are waiting on grades or what the story is... Strange.
The thing about recruiting is that we don't know what we don't know...

He only has mid major offerings, he might be holding out for something bigger. Given he is a Mr Basketball and all, EMU or Toledo probably feels like a letdown.

I'm more of the thinking there might be issues to resolve before he signs.
As we have been saying ad nauseam, it makes little sense for h.s. players to hold out this late in the recruiting season. Coaches want transfers, known talent, not players who are say 2 or 3 years from being significant contributors.
That title "Mr. Basketball" does not fairly represent his status as a college recruit. I have followed MI h.s. basketball recruiting on and off for 30 years and have NEVER seen a year like 2022. I've seen lists where he isn't top 5 in MI.
