Beck cracks me up with his lyrics. But he's easy fun to listen to!

This band is a little mesmerizing... their videos are quite evocative as well!

A couple in collaboration with Gorillaz...

Some vintage Moody Blues... I know there's a bunch... not my fault, they got tons of great stuff so I had to leave some out since can only put 5 videos. Haha

So... Beatles-esque!

I bought Robin Trower's Victims of the Fury album back in '80. It's been a long time since I listened. Best listened to at night with headphones, and whatever else you need.

Of course the 1974 classic, Bridge of Sighs.

You really just need to listen to the entire album.

My parents used to play Moody Blues tapes/CD's non-stop in the car when I was a kid. I always loved how much production seemed to go into their songs... entire orchestras behind them sometimes, etc. Really good stuff. 04-cheers

My personal favorites:

#1 for me is "Question"

#2 is "Nights in White Satin"

#3 is "Isn't Life Strange"

Agreed, truly a "legends" band. A few others I think are great, and wanted to post before but was "limited".

Does anyone remember Timothy Leary?

I didn't overly dislike the Navaro record but it didn't feel like a RHCP record. That said, I do think RHCP formula is Keidis' vocals and Flea's funky bass play...teh guitarist that can keep it funky and rocking on that side can be the icing on the cake.

These will take a while, so pour a beer (or bourbon) and strap on those headphones for best effect!

Before Freeze Frame and Centerfold became 80's pop hits, J Geils Band rocked the house!

Not a video-video --- just a pic and the music.

The Heavy
Short Change Hero

A really interesting 1-2 min intro that sounds like a Sergio Leone western movie score -- then kind of gets into a slow bluesy/rock thing.

I dig that 80s sound so much... my college years, awesome time in the UH dorms!

Along the same line as Thompson Twins, there was Howard Jones...

"It's Like That" was the debut single by American hip hop group Run-D.M.C., released in 1983 by Profile Records. The song was remixed by house DJ Jason Nevins in 1997. In the UK, the Nevins remix gained notoriety for breaking the Spice Girls' run of consecutive number-one hits on the UK Singles Chart, keeping their song "Stop" from claiming the top spot.
