I'd like to think UAB would bring a decent crowd.
Yeah, ok. Wichita too. Those three go down early though, It'll be a ghost town. Other than UAB, Aresco just picked 5 teams that have two sports. Football and Spring Football.
like Dickies Arena...

Yup. Scored some cheap flights to Memphis for the football game with Rice in November and free room at the Horseshoe. This would not be bad for basketball, too. Can we get Caesars as sponsor?

Somewhere between 7-10k would probably be ideal size.
It's in the middle of a forest. What else is there to do? The population of Southhaven is 56k.
it's the Memphis metro but it's location is 25 mins to Tunica, 15 mins to Graceland, 20 mins to Beale and I'm sure the casinos would set up shuttles to get folks around. Easy airport access, easy interstate access, and it's a safe suburb with lots of hotels.
A tiny suburb of Memphis with a population of 26k? I don't see how that would work.
Desoto County (North MS) is 191k it's not some tiny town at all. EDIT: Southaven is 56k btw not 26k
Yeah I was confused at first. I thought you guys were talking about Southaven, Mississippi. I was like "what?"
I really don't mind the location if it helps attract fans, and isn't held on the home court of any particular member.. I'm actually willing to try anything but Ft. Worth. I'm convinced it's in Ft. Worth due to the close proximity of the conference office. It's about logistics to them.
I'm disappointed that the new commish went along with this, or maybe it was renewed before he took over. Anyway, I hope he shakes things up and changes the location when the current contract expires.
