Air Force (CO) - ECU (NC)
Boise St (ID) -Birmingham (AL)
Fresno St (CA) - Memphis (TN)
Navy (MD) - South Florida
SDSU (CA) - SMU (TX)
Utah St - Temple (LA)
Tulsa (OK) - Tulane (LA)

Isn't SMU to the west of Tulsa?

MWC commissioner claims he's heard the loss of 3 drops AAC value to mid 40s. That would be a little over $5 million a school.

This is amid the speculation that Air Force and Colorado St. are talking with the AAC.

That’s damage control. The core of his conference is panicking and he’s standing out there with his finger in the dike like the little Dutch boy.

Thompson can spin it any way he wants. What he can’t spin are conference games in the central and eastern time zones. Air Force, Colorado State, San Diego State and Boise State all know how important games in the central and eastern time zones are.
We're hearing that that Air Force and Colorado State are probably going to the AAC but no one else is going and they will stay at 10 members and they will keep their payout which would increase to 7 million per team.

If true and the school payout increases by only splitting the conference payout 10 ways instead of 12, there is no incentive for SDSU and Boise to go until the NB12 makes it final move.

Of the four future newcomers, I predict BYU will have the most impact on the league. But I hope it's Cincinnati.

I bet it will be UCF.
Just a hunch.

It was $7M per school, so $77M.

If he's right, then UCF, Cincy and Houston were worth about $11M each against an AAC schedule.

IMO, Cincy/Houston/UCF are just not that much more valuable than other AAC schools. It's not like we're losing Texas, Oklahoma and Notre Dame. They're just Houston, Cincy and UCF.

So I suspect some spinning is going on here to protect the MW.

As a contrast to your feels, consider that ESPN offered 12m/school for the AAC if a GOR was signed that would have kept those schools in the AAC.

Which voices are you hearing that from?

AFA may add some value, CSU little to none at this point. UC/UCF and Houston are a big blow to the AAC - the three by far most valuable properties.

And you are predicting the Mouse will pay MORE for that lineup?

Minus the annual production costs for espn+, don’t forget.

Colorado State and Air Force - or anyone joining aac - would have to buy some cameras and all initially, as well.
