Another brilliant comment from the SBC.
I thought it was very funny.

I honestly have no idea the answers to these questions but that could shed a lot of light for us and they are fairly objective questions.
No one knows the answers to these questions? I’m traveling this week so I don’t have the time, but since no one else seems to know, I’m going to claim Marshall is the answer to all those questions. Therefore, we are the flagship.
1. Marshall (7 weeks) & Western 2 weeks and knocked Marshall out of the rankings
unless you want to count Covid 2020 and we all know if the big boys were playing to start the season no way Marshall or any SBC school gets ranked before week 8.

So, since 2014 Marshall and WKU are the only CUSA teams to be ranked at all? With Marshall being the only team to finish a season ranked? Is that what we have determined here?

We determined it’s all Judy’s fault.

This info does matter although it is not the only thing that matters. We all should be very concerned that UAB could win the next three CUSA championships for a total of five in a row and still never be ranked. UAB could conceivably win the next 10 in a row and still be viewed as a P5 pimple. You can say "what about the last 10 years" like the FAU trolls but USM beating Kentucky is a bigger deal than an 8-4 team winning CUSA. CUSA is so bad now that it requires near or total perfection in a year to make noise and be ranked.

USM has beaten dozens of top 25 and SEC teams, while many big talkers on here have beaten a couple, or more likely NONE.... this is even more remarkable when most have been on the road...we ended Brer Bryant's 20+ year home winning streak...we beat both Alabama and Auburn in the state of Alabama, being the 1st non-SEC team to do it in 50 years...we ended top 10 TCwho's and Yooston's New Year's Day bowl dreams...we ended Archie Who? and Old Mrs' National Championship dreams...and we went to so many bowl games in a row I can't even remember the number...
Now, many folks on here will say it's all in THE PAST---but those are mostly folks who HAVE NO PAST themselves, so it is their only refuge..
USM fans know we have been there BEFORE, and expect to be there AGAIN...regardless the damaged football landscape ESPN leaves for the rest of us.

Ya'll went to 10 straight bowl games (2002-2011) which was also part of a ....14 out of 15 year string of bowl games (1997-2011).

And whipped all of these east division teams, giggling, to get there.
The only east team that should be giggling is Charlotte. We hold the series with them, barely, but we never matched up well with them and likely would be tied at 3-3 if we'd played last year.
Even when we went 3-9 in 2016, FAU was one of those wins. <giggling>
FAU should have one of those beepers they put on garbage trucks installed in their stadium to let people know they'll be backing in to another championship.

Well I can honestly say if you hadn't cancelled the first game with us last year before the meltdown we would have stomped that ass, just like the rest. We were just playing on another level at that time. As a Marshall fan you could actually see the change in attitude and execution. It was disgusting to watch it happen.

If by miracle we beat Bama this year FAYahoos will come on here and say Bama is down this year must have been a fluke. I think we can hang with them for a quarter and then who knows maybe they all get a covid tri-delta variant that turns them into coeds and we win by a field goal. Alabama women can play good football too, I'm sure.

I’m traveling this week so I don’t have the time, but since no one else seems to know, I’m going to claim Marshall is the answer to all those questions. Therefore, we are the flagship.
1. Marshall (7 weeks) & Western 2 weeks and knocked Marshall out of the rankings
unless you want to count Covid 2020 and we all know if the big boys were playing to start the season no way Marshall or any SBC school gets ranked before week 8.
any year other than 2020 the below schedule is not sniffing the rankings
fcs
appy st
Umass
Western
Tech
FAU
Middle
Well 2020 happened and we were ranked for a few weeks. That’s a fact. I know we got as high as 15th*.
<giggling>
Pathetic
