I am very excited for her. Her years of playing overseas will bring a lot of different experiences to the Sky.

It's going to be a fun season watching the Sky again and the Lynx to hopefully see Kiki on the court.

He is expected to battle Stidham for the starting job and Stidham is also not very good. Nooch may be in a very good spot. He will light it up if given the chance the way he did in Seattle.

You need to remember, Wilson played on the Jets who ruin everyone. All signs were pointing to him improving as a qb backing up rodgers until he got hurt week 1 and was thrown into the fire. Wouldnt be surprised if Denver makes a move for a QB round 1

I was thinking the same thing about Denver going for a QB in Round 1. They took Zach Wilson because they got him for fifty bucks and a used blocking sled. What is there to lose? They really like Bo Nix, but they also have other urgent needs. like corner, edge, and they also really like TE Brock Bowers. So, if Nix lasts until Pick 12 of the first round, it will be interesting to see if Payton ignores his other needs to take Nix (if he is still available) because he won't get another chance. Denver's next pick is #76 in the third round.

My best guess is that Payton and company saw something they really like in Zack Wilson and believe he can be their starter. Thus, I believe they will pass on Nix and develop the quarterback talent they already have.

So, where might that put Nooch? No worse than last year on the scout team and building his NFL retirement points. BUT, word is that Payton plans a three-way competition for the starting job and the best QB will be the starter. I believe Nooch is better than both Stidham and Wilson. He is certainly more dynamic and fun to watch.

In the meantime, Ben confesses that he really misses the XFL and has a great idea - let the new UFL serve as a feeder/developmental league for the NFL, allowing players to play in both leagues. Interesting.... https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/b...r-AA1njbo8

Nooch's idea is exactly what should be done. The NFL should subsidize the league and use it as a feeder league, there is talent there but they just need live reps and the NFL preseason schedule just isn't enough.

Send that guy to Richmond! The Richmond Kickers (third tier?) have been on a scoring drought for like the last year.

And there you have it, Broncos take Bo Nix, guess Ben will be back in the XFL/UFL sooner than expected.

Chase DeLauter hasn’t played in a few days, was hoping they were holding him out while working w/ him to regain his stroke, unfortunately it’s his bad foot again.

Robertson has been buried in the Cardinals bullpen since being called up, but came in last night in mop-up duty in a game that was getting away.

Control a little off out of the gate (to be expected watching games from bullpen) and he walked in a run after giving up a weak infield hit to load bases. After that, looked really good with 3 K's to go with the 1 walk over 2 innings.

His stuff looked good. Fastball about 93, good changeup and sweeper ... and he worked all 3 pitches. I would think this outing might give him some more looks going forward. Not a high leverage situation, but he looked sharp.

DeLauter was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Akron on Friday due to a left foot sprain.

DeLauter has had issues with the same foot dating back to college and had to undergo surgery last January to repair a fracture. It's not clear whether this injury is related to his previous problems, but Mandy Bell of MLB.com reported earlier this week that the Guardians don't seem overly concerned and expect DeLauter to miss only a handful of games. The top prospect has gotten off to a rough start this season with Akron, slashing just .197/.296/.295 with one home run and one stolen base over 16 games.

Dang, my wife and I will be in Akron next week and thought we might catch a game, but the Ducks are away all week, and Chase isn't playing anyway.

Actually, my guess is that Denver will let go of Stidham and keep Nooch on the scout team. They save $5,000,000 that way, and they definitely don't need four quarterbacks.

I would not be surprised to see Nooch bolt for the UFL just to get to play. The pay could be comparable.

Further bad news from their beat reporter:

Quote: Chase DeLauter has a fracture in the 5th metatarsal bone of his left foot - the same one that he had surgery on last year (and in college).

He’s scheduled to meet with the foot specialist who performed last year’s surgery on Wednesday to determine the next step.

Rondell Carter looks like he has added a spare tire in his mid section. The Michigan UFL roster lists him at the same 269lb as he was in college, but he is no longer 269. I wonder if NFL teams have told him he needs to gain weight and slide to the interior if he wants to get back in the NFL.

I totally forgot about that punter even though it was just 2 seasons ago. That we lost the popular Harry then got better with Clark and then much better with Hanson was nice. People don't think about punting until it's terrible and you wish you had a good one.

Theres a strong chance Hanson becomes the first JMU player drafted since dinucci. Really hope Chesney gets more dukes in the nfl as that will only help recruiting

Not going to happen, it’s not very common for a punter to get drafted and he’s not even one of the top 18 punters (in the 2025 draft) listed here:

https://www.draftcountdown.com/2025-nfl-...ngs-shane/

His game against Marshall was damn near perfect, but I felt he peaked at that point and wasn’t as good the rest of the season. While he’s accurate he doesn’t have that big leg the NFL seeks.
