RE: MAC Football Restart
Looks like PAC12 moving to restart the FB season.
West Coast Governors seem to be falling in line.
MWC seems to also be working on an about face.

Fine but if this results in multiple players transferring to other conferences and programs losing lots of recruits then they will turn most fans into anti-MAC fans. Terry would be in heaven ripping on the conference.

I don’t want Toledo’s program to lose a portion of its talent and then spend the next 3-4 years rebuilding it back. We’ve got ND next season. I want to win that game...

Did I miss the news of some transfers? Legit question...I hadn't heard of any impact players doing so, but I may have missed it.

If not playing these season helps the MAC weather the financial crisis (lack of payments for playing out of conference games), league could return more stable in 2021. If there is a commitment from MAC to continue as per norm in 2021 why would current players and recruits jump to another conference simply because they played in 2020? There are only so many scholarships to go around, not like large numbers of MAC players and recruits have other options on where to play.

Good for the players and coaches, and certainly better (from a fan and football perspective) than any version of a spring football, hope everyone can stay healthy, some teams and conferences, CFB and HS who are playing are having challenges resulting in cancelled games.

Not sure how this will work from a financial point of view for MAC and schools, without out of conference game revenue and without fans and stadium revenue (concessions), hopefully it will not result in huge drain of expenses on already stressed college and Athletic department budgets this fall.

And what does it mean for other fall sports??

I'm curious, if football is the only fall sport played, how does that jibe with Title IX equal opportunity rules?

The MAC will adapt like every other conference has.
On a brighter note, Terry I'm glad you are still with us.

All other fall sports will have the same restart date.

Great to know that student athletics in fall sports, including CFB and in the MAC, will have access to frequent screening and testing for COVID at a level not available to every other student on campus

RE: MAC Football Restart
Let them play this fall, otherwise I think this conference will fail in the long one, as few teams in the league will go down to the so-called D1A status, or worst yet drop football all together.
