Which part of the Constitution are they violating? Be specific.
Anyone who actually understands the INTENT of the 2nd amendment understands that the moment a police officer has a select-fire weapon in his hand on the job, and the general populace has no legal access to the same weapons, the 2nd amendment has been violated.
Additionally, there are 3rd amendment issues. And then there's the Posse Comitatus Act (1878) strictly forbidding military enforcement on American soil. So you have the police force being armed with military-grade weapons, sometimes ACTUALLY coming from the military in the form of Pentagon "cast-offs". For free.

To be sure, I AM CONFLICTED... I want a strong police presence. to put down this rioting and crap. But I don't think law-abiding citizens, essentially the militia, should be "out-gunned" by government on US soil. The only thing that gives me solace is that many LEOs are former military, and are conscious of their duty to the Constitution over their duty to their superior officers. But I am wary of officers turning against the citizenry and ignoring their Constitutional responsibilities as soon as they see the citizenry doesn't give a damn about them... like they are seeing today.

I agree that citizens shouldn't be outgunned -- to a point.
Patriotic, freedom-loving citizens shouldn't be outgunned.
Those are set on destroying out form of government should be put down as forcefully as needed.

A citizen can get a full auto/select fire, he just has to jump through a lot of hoops

Seems the bigger problem is that the bolder rioters are getting arrested and then released the next day just so they can do it again. If they were detained for 2 weeks this riot would seem to get things back under control.

There's no need for the military. The Feds have units that can take care of this. Instead of being held in a local jail, maybe they need to go to a federal pokey.

Dude, the link you provided does not contain the last paragraph of your post. Where did that come from? I noticed, too that this was written in 2014 and addressing Ferguson, MO.

IMO, need to be careful as well regarding the bold. I have a feeling the Chinese and North Koreans probably feel the same way when dealing with political dissent. We have laws for situations that arise. I'd prefer to go that route than go in guns blazing, etc.

Yeah, I don't blame the people in China or NoKo fighting to shut down communism.
But we're not communists. We have communists trying to shut down liberty and freedom.

The same thing is happening to Parler... Leftist don't want conservatives on their social media platforms, but they're trying to organize and have people report bugs with the apps so they'll be removed.

RE: Battle of Portland Day 53 (Antifa/BLM vs. United States)
Quote:Democratic Oregon Rep. Earl Blumenauer said Monday that “Portland, Oregon is not out of control” during a speech on the House floor.
“To be sure, there are some people who have strong feelings and there are some who have done things that are inappropriate and unlawful,” Blumenauer acknowledged. “But that is the challenge of our local officials and our state officials to manage it, not having somebody unwelcome, uninvited and unprepared, coming in to take this difficult situation and make it worse.”
Protests and riots in Portland have resulted in tens of millions of dollars in damages to the community, according to the Portland Tribune.
Blumenauer said President Donald Trump was “declaring war on America’s cities” by sending federal forces to “protect monuments and statues.”
The Department of Homeland Security will reportedly send 150 agents to Chicago this week, per the Chicago Tribune. The congressman also said the Trump administration plans to send personnel to Atlanta, Kansas City and Seattle.

Yes, two solid months of continuous rioting, burning, looting, and destruction is completely normal.

That link is so full of crap that the honey wagon has to come along and pump it out twice a week to keep it from overflowing. It would be an insult to crackpots to call that a crackpot site.
There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution regarding the arming of law enforcement. There is absolutely nothing in the Third Amendment of the Constitution regarding law enforcement. The Posse Commitatus Act restricts the use of the military to enforce domestic policies. It puts absolutely no restrictions on law enforcement.

The Navy vet, who wanted to have a discussion with the Feds about the constitution, while they are dealing with a riot. He didn't obey their commands, so WTF did he think was going to happen?
