I'm not deflecting, FIU got the crap beat out of them. Got calls for pushing off and ODU did the same 10 times with out a call. Hell with about 38 seconds left the ODU PG pushes off on the drive, walks (slides 3 feet) and still was allowed to pass the ball.

I dont know what the FT count in this game was. I just know FIU should have shot more. The way ODU plays and only 5 fouls for the second half before you had to foul with 30 seconds left in the game. That is incredible for ODU to only have 5 fouls called against them.

After home cooking like that I now know why some ODU fans feel cheated on the road.

ODU went inside with the ball more than FIU did. To act like FIU wasn't aggressive defensively is simply incorrect. Their big man had 6 blocked shots tonight.

FIU shot 34 three point shots, and still took 20 foul shots. That would have been 21 foul shots had they not missed the front end of that last one and one.

By comparison, ODU shot 20 three point shots, and took 16 foul shots.

I think that you will find out when WKU plays FIU that they do play defense.

I'd expect this from one of the dumber WKU posters. But it makes me sad to see the ODU-posters-are-all-meanies disease infect even the smart ones.

UTSA's Jackson and Wallace are really impressive players. Two of the best I've ever seen on the same court playing on the same team. Outstanding players for UTSA.

I got to watch this one on Facebook. What an impressive performance. The team is improving and did a good job of handled UTSA's run in the second half. The crowd seemed like a good size for a Thursday night game. Also, I don't know what others think, but I love our court this season. The Battle Flags in the paint look great and unique. Plus the extra lighting on the court looked good on the broadcast.

I'll be heading down to Denton on Saturday to watch us against UTEP. Hope we have a big crowd for the game.

Charlotte led FAU for 45 seconds tonight. Thankfully it was the last 45. Our guys never gave up. FAU was lights out for much of the game. I think at the under 12 TO in the first half the Owls were shooting 83%. Hope we can keep FIU in the 60s.

Several tidbits from the scoresheet:
- USM had 2 players play all 40 minutes and had a 3rd player play 37 minutes, while a 4th played 34 minutes, and only used 2 subs.....we're going to have some dead legs come Saturday
- USM made 16-18 FTs (88.9%) while UAB made 17-18 FTs (94.4%)...unreal percentages there for both teams

Hey UNCC fans I wonder if this no call which was a clear shove in the back with 23 or so seconds left played a role in a 2 point game





It seems like the UNCC player that got called for throwing a elbow has a habit of taking cheap shots with it. No one cal make me believe the Western game where it was called and the FAU game where it wasnt called are the only 2 times this clown took a cheap shot at a player on the other team. Nope...not if he did it in 2 straight games both well after the play was over.

Meanwhile over in Houston last night, it was quite the barn burner between UTEP and Rice.

UTEP ended their 19? Game road skid, but there were only THReE possessions in the first half where the score was more than a one-possession game. The entire second half also stayed within 3 points until 2:38 when UTEP started playing more consistently to finish, and Rice started playing more... Ricely.

Still, good game to watch and it actually gave me hope the Owls can get it together this season. First game with Robert Martin back, he definitely made a difference for us.
