RE: Playoff Ticket Sales
There are a lot more available tickets in some sections than I thought there would be. I really hope we can get a better turnout for this game and I have faith that we will. I'm sure a lot of people were waiting until they could actually choose their seats (like I did last night).
Regardless of the size of the crowd, we need to give this team as much of a home field advantage as we can. They deserve as much support and noise as we can give them.
Obviously we aren't selling out, but if anyone is on the fence, do whatever you can to get there or bring a friend to help support the Dukes.
And if you can't make it, at least do your part at home and watch the game and bring up those television ratings!

That seating chart is already significantly better than last week which is good news at least. There were only like two "Medium" sections in the whole place at this time last week including 109. In 210, we were the only seats off the board ago. Looking forward to seeing how it looks tomorrow once people have had a chance to choose seats.

Thanks. I wasn't able to go last week, so good to know it's better than last week. Even better news is that there are still a few days to go including the day of.
I had to remind myself to completely disregard the GA areas. Those areas could be full for all we know come Saturday.
I am still hopeful we'll have our largest attendance this postseason this Saturday and there's a lot of time to get there.

We had 7000 students in the seats for the SDSU game I believe, but that game was a week earlier than this weekends bout. Hopeful that any student within a 6 hr driving distance gets their butts to Bridgeforth.

Don't forget a lot of students live off campus and I'm sure there's still a good amount still in Harrisonburg that are planning to go back home on Sunday.

Not like they don't have a place to stay and have a little weekend party with friends and then go back home.

I don't get the excuse of kids wanting to get off campus and go home.

You had to pry me away from Harrisonburg while I was a student to go home and when I did 2-3 days was plenty for me. Much rather have my freedom at my own place in the 'Burg.

RE: Playoff Ticket Sales
A little off topic, but on the subject of students, being home vs the 'burg, etc...

...my much better half and I always chuckle a bit looking at students on game day of Family Weekend. While some (a few?) students appear happy to see Mom & Dad (and perhaps siblings) on campus that particular day, we LOL at all the sad faces of students. Faces and body language that just scream...

...WILL YOU GET THE F OUT OF HERE...I WANT TO GO TAILGATE AND PARTY WITH MY FRIENDS!!!!

04-cheers

I did not look last week at the available seats so I can’t compare, but I just looked now for Saturday, and agree that there are more seats available than I was expecting. I don’t usually see many walk ups getting tickets on game day, but maybe that will be the case on Saturday. I will guess that 15k will be there, and I hope I am low by a few thousand.

The students were awesome for the last Weber State game and the SDSU game so if that many students show up, there will be more than 15k. I am not sure that will happen though.

Looking at the seating chart in sections 7 and 8, I'm thinking Weber may be bringing 700 or more fans. That's a pretty strong showing on a trip from Utah.

I can't remember if Section 8 was available for purchase through the JMU site last game or not. I'm wondering if Section 8 is unavailable because its reserved for Weber St (sales through their own means) or similar to a lot of the less desirable sections on the new side that aren't available.

They had a strong and vocal traveling party last time too. Their President said on BMac's pod that he was making the trip, which always means lots of other admins and donors too. Similar to those of you awesome Dukes that made the Fargodome trip.

My guess (hope?) is 13k this week. We had 16,500 or so vs. SDSU but that was with students around. No way more than 1000 students make this one and credit to them if they get that many. But I'm guessing there is at least enough pent-up demand to do substantially better than last week, especially from the fairweather/frontrunner crowd with so many having skipped the last two (Monmouth because of the round, UNI because of weather, both because of sore groins 05-stirthepot). Anything better will be a pleasant surprise. Deez - what's your guess?

Judging by the map last week compared to this week there has to be at least twice as many seats sold at this point. I thought attendance last week was higher than expected given the map. Probably all depends on GA numbers.

And students, probably less students this week compared to last week

Like I said on the game thread, I'll go around 14k announced (compared to last week's 8741). Yeah, if student had been getting done a week later would get more like 16-17k.

RE: Playoff Ticket Sales
Ticket map looks pretty much the same this morning as it did yesterday for whatever that's worth. Some of the prime $25 tickets have gone to "low" availability. Only one of the $50 sections is "low" but with a good amount of "medium". Cheap seats/GA still largely "high".

For those interested and not familiar with what we keep talking about: https://ev9.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce...Code=&cgc=
