Horrible play calling.
I see why Hatcher transfered from Alabama.

On the bright side, we're playing mostly second string players and still scoring 20 on the best team in the West.

Arkansas State playbook: throw to Bayless left, throw to Bayless right, screen to Bayless, Post to Bayless, Crossing route to Bayless, seam to Bayless, Back shoulder fade to Bayless...

He's a great option but dang if it isn't one of the most inefficient offenses i've seen. It's like you guys have all the ability in the world but no idea on how to sustain drives. If Drinkwitz was your coach, you guys would have the same players and probably score 40+ points per game.

Murray carried the ball more than 30 times last night. Get a clue, dude.

And when tasked with moving the ball through the air, the offense would stall. Your passing game is quite literally "find Bayless". Sure, you run and seemed to run well. But the inefficiency of the passing game and disjointed play calling is what is leading to problems finishing drives.

In all honesty, your game last night reminded me of the Wednesday night game. USA could move the ball downfield or get in scoring position and then completely squander an opportunity. What is USA's issue? Inefficiency in the passing game. USA had a guy run for 150 yards on 19 carries against ULM and still lost. Why? Their passing game had an average of 4.4 yards per pass attempt.

Example: Louisiana goes down to score to make the game 14-10. The ensuing drive begins with a 12 yard run, and a 3 yard run. 2nd down is incomplete to Bayless, third down is complete to Bayless for 8 yards, first down is incomplete to Bayless, 2nd down is a run for a loss, 3rd down is incomplete to Bayless. Louisiana proceeds to get the ball back and takes a one play touchdown drive. Next drive, 1st down run for a loss, 2nd down run for 2 yards, 3rd down screen pass. Punt.

RE: Louisiana @ stAte Game Week
stAte is not where it needs to be this year and we all know the reasons. Even with all of the hurdles and obstacles the team and coaching staff are facing, they still have a good chance of winning some games against the rest of the conference. Fans won't be content with 6-6 or 7-5 but with all the circumstances the program is facing, that would be a good season.

Technically, I think he works for for a radio group who bid and won the contract to broadcast Cajun sports. He's actually one of about five of the radio group who I've heard do games, but he is the most experienced and best in my opinion. Then again he's been doing it so long he should have learned something by now. Sorry buddy. ?
