I'd be screaming for your S&C coach's head with all those injuries. Anderson should get a pass tbh

No. I understand about his wife and the loss. I don't mean to be crass. But he has been the root of the problem all along. Cajun fans will relate. They had Hudspeth.

We had Anderson on staff at one point too. Lol

Duggan has to go.
Horrible play calling.
I see why Hatcher transfered from Alabama.

On the bright side, we're playing mostly second string players and still scoring 20 on the best team in the West.

RE: Louisiana @ stAte Game Week
Some of the choices by the players and coaches are just baffling. The kneel down on the opening kickoff for example. The play where the offensive line runs up really quickly to catch the defense off guard, but the defense is never off guard on those ever. Sure, we actually converted with that wretched play (first time I've ever seen it actually work), but shockingly the Cajuns were prepared when we ran it the second time.

Not going for two, even though it didn't really matter in the end, was insane to me. Instead of trying to get within a field goal fairly late, we kick the extra point so that we still need a TD, just like if we had failed the 2-pt conversion.

Trying to do an onside kick, but being foiled because we popped it up so that the receiving team could just do a fair catch and then we got a penalty for blowing up the dude doing a fair catch. I remember being annoyed with Anderson's trick plays that he became known for during his first year because they seemed random and ill-conceived (the famous fainting goat ended with an interception) and this is just more of that.

Our run game is so one-dimensional. It's 90% just run the ball up the middle, which maybe would be fine if we had a truly worthwhile offensive line, which we very much do not have.

Hatcher ain't the guy. Bonner's spot is very much safe.

The real bummer is that the extra time off probably helped the defense a lot, and they were still made to look foolish. I expected worse. I really hate that we're using child labor to patch up the defense, because it's not fair that they keep having to play against grown-ups that they can't tackle.

I'm trying to take yalls side tbh. Was hoping yall would make the trip to Boone this year.

And I appreciate that but we really hate these guys. We knew we were toast going in. So feel free to tear into them after the fact But right now we have to sit here and take our medicine. This ain't easy on some of us. And the Cajun fans are showing great restraint so far. So let this play out and you two can have at it. We'll see you next year. Hopefully.

Aaaaaaand it's a 4 point game

You know if ANY attention isn't focused on them, they get nervous. Need to remind people they are still around.

Good Game AState. Way closer than I would have thought. RB and WRs are the real deal. Get some stops and yall will win some more games. Good luck down the stretch.

Good game to the Cajuns. Sorry we weren't more competitive but most fans here told you this would be the outcome. We have some challenges.

Y’all need to seriously revamp the strength and conditioning program. The amount of injuries annually are to great to be coincidental. It is crippling every year.

I also really hate when a south Louisiana kid ends up over there. Corey Leonard was the worst.

We've not had that many season ending injuries until this year. Seems like a perfect storm this year. But the coaching is one of those challenges I mention. Many donors and fans have been unhappy for the last 3 years. They'll get a pass this year due to Anderson's personal issues. I predict his seat is going to be very warm next year.

RE: Louisiana @ stAte Game Week
Cajuns looked like a solid team...built to wear your defense down. Congrats to the Cajuns!

We have marginal talent on the OL and the back 8 on defense. We need some recruiting help and some growth for the current group of players.

I don’t see any reason it won’t be the Cajuns and App in the Championship game.

Astate should have a shot in all remaining games. We could end up 8-4 with a bowl. But if the players’ psyches are too fragile or our coaches can’t build on what we do well, we could end up with 7 or 8 losses.

I saw a glimmer of hope at times in the UL game but we are still trying to hide too many weaknesses and aren’t playing with consistent confidence. This team is at a crossroad...they can either continue to work hard and focus on doing the good things or give up and get rolled the rest of the season. Still a lot to play for...and that’s hard to say right now because I’m still pretty disappointed in our last two games.

You guys still don't get it. The ones on here now have never left, but the ones that left will never come back to this forum. There may be some newbies come along, but the old guys will not be returning. You can find them at Ragin Pagin because that forum allows them to speak their minds without being censored by overzealous moderators.
