Sun Belt Predictions 2019
The season is less than a month away! Fall camps are starting. Football season is almost here!

Who do you have winning the East?

Who do you have winning the West?

Who wins the Sun Belt Title?

Who is your sleeper team?

It looks to be a two-team race in both divisions.

04-cheers to another great season!

My preview: Sun Belt Preview 2019

Thanks for your guys support over the years!

RE: Sun Belt Predictions 2019
I think it's a 3 team race in the East and a 2 team race in the West.

App State, Georgia Southern, and Troy in the East. ULL and Arkansas State in the West.

My pick would be Troy vs Arkansas State in the championship. With Troy winning the conference.

Texas State's my sleeper. Literally everyone is already counting us out. It wouldn't surprise me if we're still competing for the West late in the season.

Mum's the word. How are those Vikings doing? Oh, I see where CSU dropped football in 2008. Sorry. Carry on.

Almost everyone believes you will be well improved, if not on the scoreboard, then on the stat sheet, setting up a nice jump in 2020. It's a little much to put you in the conference title race, though.

List looks right to me. Though inevitably, one or two teams will under perform, and one or two will make an unexpected jump into the title race.

This conference is so even the questions 1-3 could answerwd with 60% of the conference.

Question 4 can be answered with 40% of the conference.

Cleveland State has never had a Football team. Could have taken a shot at the basketball team though. Nine players transferred out!

With only 10 teams, this is true.

This year's TXST team should show a lot of promise.

We're gonna lose our defense next year though 03-weeping

Oh for sure. This is our best year for the next few. We're stacked this year. Next year will be a rebuild year, so if Spavital can't turn the offense around, we'll be in for another few years of bottom feeding.

Louisiana over Georgia Southern in the title game. You heard it here first.

TXST is the sleeper team. Of last years "bad" teams (Coastal, GSU, USA, TXST) they have the best shot at getting out of the cellar this year and being competitive. I like ULM too to possibly compete in the west.

Out of curiosity, what makes you say that?

About having the best shot at getting out of the cellar. Not that I completely disagree, just curious what your reasoning is.

RE: Sun Belt Predictions 2019
TXST has by far the most returning in the league this year. Whether you look at it simply by number of returning starters or by % of returning production on either side of the ball.

The defense was pretty good last year and you'd think can hold its own again this year.

The offense was bad last year but I think poor coaching was a big part of that. Bob Stitt's reputation as a playcaller is really good.
There's certainly plenty of personnel questions offensively (same players but poor production last year) but I think we're in much better hands scheme-wise.

New coaching staff always is a big unknown. But looking at those 4 teams I really think TXST takes the biggest step forward this year with GSU the next likely to.

Yes indeed. Be careful about extreme expectations.

Trust me, they aren't extreme. Out of the cellar = more than 2-3 wins.
