It most definitely is. If ever we play OOC here, come up and get some. It pairs well with a Ten Penny beer.

nothing against anyone in the AAC, but i'd much rather see UC again playing UL, Pitt, WVU, etc - closer, regional schools

I miss UL, Pitt, Syracuse, and WVU as it made sense for us to play them. I will also miss Cincy and Temple for that same reason. However, frequent trips from Storrs to Wichita, Tulsa, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Memphis, Orlando, and Tampa don’t make much sense. Nothing wrong with the schools we play there, but the far flung conference model is now becoming less popular again. A return to more region rivals is brewing nationally.

What I don't understand is if you are so effing happy to be out of the AAC , why do you and some of your boneyard friends feel such a need for our validation? I mean you guys avoided this board like the plague for years while you all stayed snowflakishly in your safe "it's not us, it's that awful AAC keeping us down " bubble. Maybe deep down inside the fact that a lot of AAC programs you guys thought would feel lucky to be beneath you while feeling blessed to be associated with you, actually embarrased you and left the truth about your pathetic athletic department exposed for what it is. Please! Please go home to the NBE and leave us. I really don't think many AAC members care much one way or another about UCONN to hate them. The problem is you come over here lying, fake gloating and talking like an embarrassed child. Ahhhh

Nah, man. I have enjoyed my time on this board. Most people here have been nice, but you seem like you have some mental issues. It’s not us UConn fans, it's you dude. Five cents, please.

Mental issues??? Yet here you are suddenly living on the AAC board trolling and sounding like a dumazz because you don't have enough character to leave graciously to your NBE "paradise " . Even though most AAC fans including myself have applauded you all for making a sound decision to go home to the NBE. Are we mostly glad to be rid of a lousy UCONN football program and their lousy fans such as yourself,,,,, dang right. So this is a win-win for everyone I guess except for you. No matter what you say you know that we know that you all are taking a nice pay cut to relive the "good ole days ", so have at it. LOLOL. 01-wingedeagle01-wingedeagle07-coffee3

Memphis fans are the angriest here. I would likely be angry if I had to live in west TN, too. Anyway, we are looking to relive the good ole days. However, unlike Memphis, at least we have good ole days.

Here hope Houston never schedules them in anything... If Houston wants to schedule some one from the north east there other programs Houston can definitely reach out to.

Comedy gold here. UConn isn’t “begging” AAC schools for football games. That said, there are some we still wish to play for personal reasons. Temple? A northeast neighbor. UCF? The ConFLiCT is fun. Cincinnati and USF? They were Big East brothers of ours before the AAC. Navy and ECU? Not bad for travel for either side. Nothing against Tulsa, SMU, Houston, Memphis, and Tulane - those schools would be fine to fill out a schedule, but you won’t see us seek those schools out (never mind beg).

LOL... Go support and revive your laughable football program.

Have you seen the state of our athletic department debt? I would see if you can collect it in cash if possible. 03-wink

Is it weird that I am rifling through Memphis’s underwear drawer before leaving the house. She always looked good in these after all...

And you are still here looking for validation. Look I know why you are here, you and your ilk never gave a care about this board. You want to troll as much as possible until you get banned, which to you is closure. Yet until then you are happy as a pig in slope feeling that you are shatting all over this board. Well keep showing your desperate need for us to miss you. Have you guys ever wondered why no fan base or program that ever got a chance to get away from UCONN ever felt any remorse for you. I post because I have enjoyed it and some of the people here are nice. However, I am tiring of your keyboard tough guy bit. Like what is your problem, dude? Naw I'm not a tough guy, no need to be, but I along with many other AAC fans I'm sure are tired of you UCONN fanboys that throw around lies and misconceptions at our expense in order to make yourselves feel better about your athletic departments ineptitude. However you brought up west Tennessee as if that was supposed to be some kind of insult. Yea I'll put Memphis and west Tennessee over anything that Stoors has to offer. So in the meantime I won't be responding to your apparent attempt to troll yourself into banishment. I happy watching your immature rants knowing that you'll soon be gone. 07-coffee307-coffee307-coffee3

I don't know anything about west Tennessee as I've only driven past it and I don't spend any time in Storrs as it's out of the way but I do know that after reading many, many posts on this website that there's not a lot of love for UConn. We all have our home team interests but I know that I generally rooted for every team that played against a "P5" team in any football game. It's that whole chip on the shoulder thing. But one thing that you must remember is that this conference is the island of misfit toys. Some teams got a lift joining but Houston, SMU, Cincinnati, USF and UCF were all left holding the bag at one time when they were left behind.
That in mind, plenty of teams, including your Memphis Tigers, prostituted themselves before the Big 12 a few years ago. I'm not saying that Tulsa, Tulane and ECU are bad institutions because they are not. Tulane is AAU and they used to have Super Bowls in their stadium. The real issue comes from the late 00's and the announcement last year. If they had accepted the ESPN bid all those years ago then perhaps the Big East as we knew it still exists.
This media deal is not all it's made out to be. Some institutions are way behind in being ready for delivering content to ESPN. I know this for a fact as my company got an RFP for video production from the University of Houston.
I guess this is just a long way of saying that perhaps some posters are just as butthurt that the UConn brass thought so low of this conference that they were willing to do anything to get out.
I hope it works as that's all we have here to hang our hat on.

Blah blah blah. For a fan base that prayed to be rid of the AAC you all seem to be awfully clingy. 07-coffee307-coffee3

I suspect I'm going to regret this, but huh? When, exactly, did UCF get left behind anywhere? They went from independent, to the MAC, to CUSA, to the AAC. A step up every time and, to their credit, they've improved with each step. Houston and SMU were abandoned by the SWC, and Cincinnati and USF were abandoned by the Big East.

It most definitely is. If ever we play OOC here, come up and get some. It pairs well with a Ten Penny beer.

Just saying...07-coffee307-coffee307-coffee3

Look, I am here as I always have been. I was in the hospital and offline much the last few months, which makes it look like I am reappearing out of the blue. I post because I have enjoyed it and some of the people here are nice. However, I am tiring of your keyboard tough guy bit. Like what is your problem, dude? Just a sad little yap yap dog biting at my ankles.

MY immature rants? That is rich. I am not trolling anything, so how could I get banished.

I only diss west TN since the people there seem nasty based on what I have observed on this board. Bless their hearts.
