No. The AAC started on July 1, 2013. In the 2012 football season (the last in which the Big East had a champion), Louisville, Cincinnati, Syracuse and Rutgers finished in a 4 way tie for the league title. Louisville represented the Big East in the Orange Bowl and beat then #3 Florida. UCF and Tulsa played in the C-USA championship game that year. In 2013, won the inaugural AAC football title, and the conference included Temple and Memphis (as well as Houston and SMU). So UCF's 'small produce bag from Publix' was also shared by the Owls and Tigers, though UCF at least used their produce bag to much greater effect.

I think what he may be referring to is UCF was invited to join the Big East and scheduled to join in the 2013 season before the realignment began.

I still have three more weeks in this league. I am happy to stand my ground if I am going to keep getting attacked. I do believe a high majority of AAC fans who post here are kind and friendly but make no mistake many will call anyone out when bashing the AAC and/or post false information as have quite a few uconn posters who have decided in continuing doing so on their way out.
I've said multiple times I have nothing personal against uconn my only beef was/is the constant blame placed on the AAC for yall's incompetent and poor results in football... You must remember AAC programs are NOT startups majority of us are well known and have pretty rich histories hence current treatment for uconn fans in this board for yall's constant AAC bashing ... If uconn had carry their weight in this league we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.
