Alas, the Kangaroos see the error of their ways and return to a Midwestern conference.

How many teams is the WAC down to now?

Was this one of No Daks steps to a Great Northern conference? I honestly can’t remeber

It's step 3B sub step vii.

Jets are making their way to the Denver airport as we speak.

Now Chicago St. needs to be let go and the WAC will become a western conference again. Maybe a prelude for the WAC starting FCS football that could be getting a couple of Big Sky schools and another D2 football school.

WAC needs CSU for numbers and playing in Chicago is a recruiting tool GCU/NMSU enjoy as both bring a few hundred to games on the South Side.

With better leadership at President and a well-connected AD in Chris Zorich, hopefully CSU can position itself to make some moves and replace Fort Wayne once the Horizon adds them. The arena and location are already in place.

You are joking right? They are a RPI drain and GCU/NMSU don't need CSU to recruit Chicago... Let them figure it out on their own and the WAC and hang at 7 till other western schools are found.

Without Chicago St, WAC would be at the bare minimum if 7. 9 members minus Bakersfield and UMKC plus Dixie St = 8. They need still need Chicago St until they can add at least 1 more.

The only WAC fan base who seems to bash CSU is GCU. Might have something to do with CSU sweeping the season series in 2015 after being called an NAIA school.

They’ll be fine at 8. NMSU isn’t going anywhere soon. They don’t need Chicago St.

It has nothing to do with their 2-10 record vs GCU and everything about them being out of compliance with the WAC and not having money to be competing at the D1 level let alone paying the bills to keep the lights on and fixing issues and the JCC.

Exactly. The NCAA isn't going to do anything to the WAC. They don't want a bunch of homeless D1 independents. WAC will keep their auto bid until more defections happen. No need for David and his stupid suggestions to make the WAC "compliant"

That's my take as well. WAC isn't going anywhere and it will retain its NCAA post season access.
