Alonzo Ford just got an offer from Wake. He would be a huge get if he chooses us over the ACC.

I saw Chazz Wallace play. His team, Avalon, wasn't that good. But it was very difficult to run to his side. he caused lots of penetration and mayhem.

if we could get him, he would easily be one of the top 5 recruits in the entire FCS 2020 class.

Obviously, it's hard to understand why ODU would be in the discussion. I would guess it's because he wants to stay local. But JMU vs ODU is a no-brainer at this point

It depends on what he values more. If he values playing for an FBS school, it won't matter the struggles ODU has had.
We haven't lost that many players to ODU so far and in fact have actually had many players take us over ODU. Hopefully this guy values what we have over ODU.

If you go to ODU, you probably will get to play more.. less competition.

To be fair, there have been plenty of players that picked us over ODU. If that were true, we would lose almost every time, but that just hasn't been the case.

Not to mention, for both D linemen their position coach just went to ODU. I think most people suggest committing to a school rather than a coach, but I’m sure it’s on their minds.

Good question. I don't know where any of them come from except the Varina kid. Was going off what the ODU guy said. Should have known-lesson learned!

Ford might be the hardest one. Wallace i think we have a great shot at.

Talked to my buddy from Varina earlier this week about Ford. He thought JMU was very much in play. I’m not sure if the Wake Forest offer had been made at that point. He did tell me that Isiah Paige going to ODU could influence him some. He also said Paige going to ODU as a preferred walk on. If true, that surprises me. Article made it sound like he was a priority for new coaching staff so I don’t know if PWO was really the case.
