Don't totally disagree. Tubby couldn't keep decent players. Penny managed to scramble and get our freshman backcourt, which only works about .01% of the time. Right now we are probably middle of the pack in the American. I do think it will get better though.

The team will improve as the year goes along and the game slows down for the freshmen. Everyone has to get used to playing together too. It takes time.

Playing A Lo and Tyler in the backcourt together was surprising to me. I wonder how long that will continue.

If we had big physical bigs who owned the paint like previous UCON teams then Memphis could get away with that maybe. But instead the bigs not dependable and are subbed for smaller players.

Small front and backcourt. Looks like highschool kids playing older kids.

Losing early gives Penny lots of freedom to make changes to the starting lineup and rotation. Just can’t start 5’10” and 5’8” guards. Have to sit one of them, seems it must be ALo. Raynere’s minutes need to go down. Parks’ minutes way up.

The season is young. Gotta get better on defense. Build towards the conference tournament at home. I’m not happy, but I’m not gonna freak out just yet. We’ll probably get killed by TX Tech and UT. Just expect it and hope for improvement January thru March.

Penny gets a year of coaching and Lomax, Harris, and Jones get a year of ball. They are the only one's on this team that will see the floor next year. Everyone else will be out of eligibility or isn't good enough.

That's about it for this year. It's just a transition year and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Getting rid of Paz two years earlier than they did and then never hiring Tubby to begin with would be a good start if anyone has a time machine laying around.

The JUCO's just aren't world beaters. There is a reason Tubby could grab them late for his second season after his first team disintegrated.

Oh this team is going to get worked by Texas Tech and Tennessee, no question. Just hope to win one of either UAB or Dakota.

I love our team. Let's remember Calipari's first year at Memphis. Let us also remember the 21-15 year we had and we still remained supportive, which followed by a 27-9 NIT appearance the following year. What I love the most about Memphis fans is we support our team through the ups and downs. We must allow them to learn to win together. Go Tigers!
