Wow!! Very Impressive!! Liberty is building facilities that are 1st class!!
Fly through of SDSU's SnapDragon Stadium. Seats being added in the south endzone now. Field irrigation setup happening now as well. This will be a nice compact stadium when done.

Quote:Now, SMU is starting to make major investments in their own facilities. They announced on Friday, January 21st, plans for a $100 million end zone renovation for Gerald J. Ford Stadium. It will officially be called the “Garry Weber End Zone Complex,” named after Garry Weber, a longtime donor whose foundation just made a $50 million donation towards the project. That, for what it’s worth, is the largest donation in SMU athletics history.
The project is going to build an end zone complex that is 192,500 square feet and in the south bowl of Gerald J. Ford Stadium. For those who can’t picture SMU’s home field off the top of your head, that end zone is currently all grass. The project will connect the east and west gates, it will include new locker rooms, weight rooms, training rooms, and coaching offices, among numerous other things. Furthermore, the hope is for the complex to improve the fan experience at games too.
Big XII + USF + SMU = Big XIV
BIG XIV + Memphis + Boise St. = Big XVI
It's actually fascinating and a borderline race to the bottom. It is obvious that the Big XII has made facilities a key point in future expansion scenarios and we are seeing SMU and USF running with it. So far it has been crickets out of Memphis and Boise.
Talk is that only 3,200 seats will be used for NHL games. I guess it's better than being homeless but it's a real comedown for supposedly one of the major leagues in this country.
By the way, since we've been talking about possibly super conferences emerging in the future, could it be possible that ASU hockey eventually join the Big Ten?

At least they are improving locker rooms and other parts of the stadium. They have no use for the extra seats.

Arena seats 5k right?
Quote:The 5,000-seat venue will be managed and operated by Oak View Group, SCI Architects have designed the arena, while Mortenson Construction will serve as the design builder.
Guess Temple's new OCS is a thing of the past. Haven't heard anything about it in a couple of years. Has the new administration put it on hold or cancelled it all together? Will Temple be playing at the LINC permanently?
