I have declared myself the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Champion, because, we’ll, no one else was claiming it since Louisville vacated it, so best as I know I have an undisputed claim.

I'd be more supportive if it wasn't for the P6 nonsense.

That shows they don't mind relegating teams, so long as it isn't their team. They aren't doing this for us, they still intend us to be relegated.

What happened on the field that proved they weren’t national champs this past year?

The arguments are lame too: play better teams, join a better conference, you couldn’t survive an SEC schedule, blah blah. They won every game they played.

Utah should get a few NC titles as well then. 2004 and 2008 teams.

Here's the dirty little secret. You can never fix the schedule SOS issue. As long as as you're playing 8 G5 conference games---a G5 will never be able to get much higher than about 65th in SOS ranking. The reason is simple---just by virtue of playing a 8 game P5 conference schedule, most every P5 will have a higher SOS than any G5. So, 66th is about the ceiling for a G5 SOS. The UCF SOS was 72nd. So, they were only about 6 spots from the G5 SOS ceiling.

I see both sides. Keep fighting the good fight any way you can, but it won't change anything and power schools except maybe Auburn will just laugh it off all the way to the bank.

This harms no one and gets them publicity. But it is to no avail.

Bogus and Not true, Boise State was 38th SOS schedule and 42nd when they were ranked 2nd and would have played in the 4 team playoff if it had existed and if they didn't faltered. Utah SOS was much higher also.

Like mentioned before you have to beat ranked P5 teams like Boise did against a top 10 Oregon team.

That was a while ago.

They can do what they want. After all, there are no "playoffs" in NCAA Football, so there really are no rules saying they can't declare themselves national champs. And that's kind of the point.

A four team playoff is still a playoff.

We need to expand the playoff, but the CFP established the national champion this year and they don't reside in Orlando.

There's nothing stopping UCF from celebrating the poll that named them champions apart from scruples, which they clearly lack.

If every piece of merchandise, the banner, the rings etc said "Colley Matrix National Champions", I'd have no problem with it, they are that after all, but that's where it ends.

And football club of Columbus, multiple newspapers, multiple ap voters, State of Florida with a declaration, Bobby Bowden, Steve Spurrier, Danny Konnell, redditt, etc etc declared us national champs...and being the only undefeated team while beating the team that beat both teams in the fake championship...find it funny that the unbiased colley matrix had us at #1? The playoffs is a money invitational and has nothing to do with the best team.

The problem is the national championship game doesn't decide the best team just the champion. Not necessarily the same thing.
All that being said, I am very envious. I would love for Louisiana to get close to that kind of season. And maybe I wouldn't complain about a banner and rings!!
