We have been recruiting against the big boys forever. Rarely do we beat them for one they want.

Here is the list of 2018 offers and one will see many, many offers to recruits who went to P5 schools from coast to coast.

We try (don't know why) for 4-star recruits and high 3s. We do get some 'low 3s' the type of recruit who could be either a 3 or 2 star recruit. All highly subjective. Some analyst will call a recruit a 3 and another a 2, kind of like B's and C's in college years ago. Someone gets 78 or 79 or 80 or 81 or 82% and they are on the borderline between two grades.

BTW, I might add, parenthetically, that a lot of college recruiting analysts use a different, more precise, metric than do fans.

They use labels like: HM+, HM, HM- MM+, MM, MM-, LM+, etc. (in FB, high major = Power 5).

So in basketball a Chris Webber would have been a HM+. Say of one the top 5 in his class NATIONALLY. Kind of like Kevin Garnett, Kobe, LeBron, etc. Someone who could have gone straight to the NBA.

This is all fine and dandy, but one could just as easily use a 10 point scale with HM+ = 10, HM = 9, HM- = 8, MM+ = 7, etc.

This would be like A+, A, A-, B+ B, B-, C+, etc. in school.

When in doubt, this is a good reference. Shows the offers our recruit has and commitment status.

Let's be honest with ourselves.....does any other MAC coach battle with their administration as much as what Creighton has to put up with???? Do other MAC schools tweet prospective football recruits on athletic department issues? President Smith needs to step in and take control of this situation. The EMU ship is rowing out of sync.
