Gotta watch out for Huntley as well. That guy destroyed us.

Looks like he is. He played the whole game against Georgia Southern.

If StAte can stop the pass/catch combo of Rogers/Scott, plus keep Rose bottled up from catching the ball out of the backfield, then StAte can win. If Rose gets loose to catch passes and Jaleel Scott isn't covered like a blanket, this could get hairy.

Yep, you win championships with your defense, even playing "basketball on grass".

The real questions, as to the outcome of this game is... Can the NMSU defense slow down the #1 offense in the Sun Belt?

Can the NMSU defense find a way to stop the #1 QB in the Sun Belt?

If they can, they can make a game of it.

If not, it will be a long Homecoming day for NMSU.

Gonna be exciting. Too bad NMSU is leaving the Sun Belt since we are actually competing with the big boys of the conference and beating teams we hadn't beat in the past. The key for NMSU is Rogers not throwing interceptions, establishing a little bit of a running game, and the defense coming up with some stops. Arkansas State lobbied for Sun Belt membership for the Aggies so I cheer for you guys every time when you are not playing us.

Well in the past under Anderson the SBC teams that have beat them were the ones that no one really though would be a big threat.

Things have not gone well at all--regardless of where the games were played, for the teams that made the mistake of getting on their radar as being a threat. I don't think that is going to change, and I do think they view NMSU as a threat.

Is this one of the games that will get picked up by Aggievision and may find it's way on a random cable channel, or is this strictly ESPN3? That happened 2 years ago. FoxSW or someone picked the game up and I watched from home.

This one will be on ESPN 3. I also stream the Aggie games, so if anyone is interested I can post the link to that as well.

If its on TV somewhere, that leaves a halfway decent chance someone locally may pick it up in Arkansas.

Yeah, I would like for NMSU to remain in the SBC's Western Division. I think this is going to be a very close and very nerve wracking game in Cruces. 04-jawdrop

RE: New Mexico State vs Arkansas State Discussion
Well I've read the post here, and most of you seem to know a little about the teams, but IMO USA and ULM better fit the profile of the teams that have beaten Anderson & Co., a little better than NMSU . They are a little to good.

The fact that NMSU would like to make a departing statement adds something a little different.

Will stick with the macro 8 wins +/-1 prediction for A-State , and stay away from the micro. To detailed for me.

Really look forward to the off-season when you guys are creating your imaginary teams, because I find them, and the process the posters go through creating them, more interesting than real ones anyway.

NMSU has given each SBC school access to the AggieVision Feed. Up to Arkansas State to put it on locally.

More like its up to the local cable company if they want to televise the game. AState has no control over it.

Suddenlink guide says the game will be on FSSW, channel 39.

I figured it might be. Was just curious if they were going to put it on their regular package, or if one would have to purchase all the premium sports channels to get it. I think the last time we played there they put it on channel 400 something.

We're moving up in the world...

Have the Aggies winning this one close.

Also interesting that the line has moved to 3 points in stAtes favor after opening at 4.5 and moving as high as 6.5. More people betting on the Aggies than I thought.

I'll be disappointed with anything less than a 2 score win. We're bigger, faster, and deeper right now
