RE: New Athletic Director
Why is the Tribe Athletic Department shouting about having a big announcement tomorrow (Wednesday)? Every newspaper from Richmond to Virginia Beach has already covered this, and that includes the freaking Flat Hat. Shouldn't the WM athletic department be out front on this, and not THREE days late? Seems like amateur hour in Williamsburg, again...

Maybe Laycock is retiring. Maybe the Griffin is pregnant. Who knows?

New AD already secured funding for Basketball practice facility, renovating Kaplan, all athletic scholarships, sinking Zable and starting Mens Lacrosse...

What exactly do you mean by "sinking Zable"

Sink the field so that lower rows have better sightlines

The "big announcement" is probably a lighting of some building in W&M colors.

I actually enjoy my view of the backs of 80 gold helmets, thank you very much. Here's hoping that we recruit 50 more Jerry Ugokwes so that I can see LESS of the field next year.

The upside is that I get an up-close view of Jimmye Laycock talking to absolutely no one during the whole game, leaving me to wonder what the hell that guy's responsibilities are any more. Perhaps THAT will be the subject of tomorrow's big announcement.

When indicating that there's a major announcement coming tomorrow morning, TribeAthletics used the hashtag "#ThisisHuGe" - if I was a betting man, I'd say they are announcing Huge, which seems odd since as others have mentioned, it's already been reported by various news outlets.

And when you click on the link it takes you to an "Introductory AD Press Conference" video, seems like it could be a clue

Embarrassing. It's like when Lloyd Christmas walked out of the restaurant announcing we landed on the moon.

Her undergrad is Gordon. Never heard of that one either.

I did notice that it has a 93% acceptance rate

All ego aside it is not a strong law school. Gordon is a reputable liberal arts school outside of Boston. Struggles to get attention because it is close to Tufts.

The acceptance rate I was referring to was actually Gordon's. I had never heard of the school
