Hold your horses little fella... I seriously doubt your football team could muster consistent victories in this league and than expect to have a full injury free key roster at your bowl game.

App state does have a nice program but that doesn't change my statement. If we were going so backwards as to end up in the sunbelt I'd rather not spend time pretending like t mattered at that point. It's not about if the sun belt is a good or bad spot for some schools at this point in time but for ECU it wouldn't be good.

I really believe that the AAC, C-USA, and Sunbelt all have teams that should be playing each other. Everyone needs regional rivals. Very few of us have ANY actual rivals any more. Rivals increase your season ticket sales, which eventually grows your programs.

If I could create my own geographical division from those 3 conferences, it would be:

USM
Houston
Memphis
ULaLa
La Tech
Tulane - gritting teeth on this one. Troy or UAB could replace if Tulane wanted their own private school division with Tulsa, SMU, Rice, etc.

I'm guessing here, but I bet ECU could like:

ECU
Navy
Cincy
Marshall
WKU
MTU

I don't expect you to want to elevate ODU or Charlotte's program. (We didn't want to either, but didn't have a choice.) Geographically, you've always been "out on an island". I'm sure you want more drivable games. And this is only for football. Rearrange completely for every other sport.

While I genuinely agree with you, I don't realistically think for a second if forced with staying FBS or going FCS, you folks are too high brow to take the SBC option. I know we are speaking hypotheticals at this point however.

Most of my statements in regards to ECU here are tongue in cheek, I respect ECU generally. However, their fans fail to recognize they often try to treat App in a similar fashion UNC CHeat and NC State have treated the Pirates for decades. ECU is a G5, App State a G5, both schools are football schools and usually have a highly competitive team they field year in and year out. Neither program should shun the other, and a annual series should no doubt be happening. We have more in common than many ECU fans care to admit, all because App recently moved to FBS and ewww that's gross they were FCS like years ago....
